I was hoping to avoid visiting the dealer, looks like I have no option.

Not that it helps your situation but I never went with PAAK. Heat work always and have never had an issue with doors. Of course that could have nothing to do with going fob only but just my experience.

I use the keyfob.

As far as the door button presses are concerned, that's a phone bluetooth/Mach E bluetooth issue that has confounded many of us. Sometimes I have to make sure that my phone is unlocked and the Ford Pass is open in order for one button press of the door button to work. Sometimes I have to put the next to the door button and other times I can keep the phone in my pocket. But it varies from week to week in terms of which method works well for me.

I never use Paak, only the keyfob but others here reported same issue, so looks like there is nothing to be done about it.

I've had zero issues with using the key fob to unlock the car rather then PAAK. I far prefer the key fob after having dealt the PAAK on our (traded in) MY.

I never use Paak, experiencing this with the keyfob.

Why aren't you using AUTO? Manual changes to the HVAC may impact the ability of the heater to perform, such as setting the fan speed too high or too low.

Also, it does take a minute or two for the heater to warm up. When I start my car, the fan speed is kept deliberately low for a minute until the coolant has warmed up, then the fan speed increases.

If you haven't yet, I'd recommend getting the HVAC module update done to improve heat output.

Yup, so try to get that HVAC update applied, then set it to 80ºF AUTO and I think you'll have good heat after a minute or two. Heat will come out the floor vents, not the top vents. If not then you could have a heater core issue.

Not trying to be Captain obvious here, but not sure you answered others who have asked or mentioned this.

Just by turning AC off and raising the temp won't necessarily blow hot air if not in auto.

Is Heat Blue in your climate settings?

My heater doesn't really do much of anything, other than when I'm warming up the car in the garage. So I know it works, it just cannot produce a reasonable amount of heat when driving. I don't think this is anything that is fixable. For me, I don't mind. I don't like to be hot. But I definitely understand if people are upset if they only get the level of heat that I get.

Likewise with the doors. With the key fob, it mostly works on the first press. But if it's with my phone, it can easily take up to 10 presses.

I have a theory about the heater. On a cold day, heating 32F air to 60F takes a lot of energy. The mache software turns off recirc and on fresh air very agressively.

The better algorithm would be to limit the internal humidity, and add fresh air to keep the humidity to a particular level (probably about 80% max), otherwise, recirc.

My #1 dislike is the climate controls

This is here just high, no auto no AC

car was moving when I did the test, both on the highway and at stopping, was still getting cold air, I guess my conclusion here is my AC module needs an update, another reason to why I think @Ford Motor Company must push those modules update all the times, imagine trying to get this fixed after the warranty expires!!! paying $$$$$ for a software glitch!

And lastly, looks like the door will be something else I have to just live with.

I will contact the nearby dealer and see if they can help.

Well, this is the only thing where you were “asking too much.”

@Ford Motor Company only does 1 thing: they connect you with your local dealer service department.

First step is updating all available modules. Your local dealer can do this. May take a few days.

Then your local Ford dealer likely dropped the ball. Try calling the dealer directly.

FMC creates a ticket, gives it to your local dealer and that’s it. In my experience it just helped speed up the service process and I got no pushback from the local dealer.

You should touch the fan to take it out of auto. I also touch the auto and it changes by 3 levels.

With PAAK the doors may take a second to unlock, not a huge deal. With fob it’s more instant. Just the nature of the connections they use and if the phone is detected in vicinity. Unless you’re trying to outrun a pack of dogs I don’t see why an extra couple seconds matters.

A couple other cars I’ve had wouldn’t even unlock if I had the fob in the same pocket as my iPhone. Good ole wireless tech strikes again, I wouldn’t dwell on it, enjoy the rest of the car.

I usually hit the 'auto' mode and then adjust manually taking the auto mode off, and my heater comes back. If I turn the temp up and fan blowing at highest setting, it's blowing out really hot air. Plus, something would be seriously wrong if we pay $50-70k+ for a car, just to be told "don't manually adjust your HVAC"

Yes, I understand how it works. In my own experience with my last 3 EVs, my vehicles have heated up much faster with E heat than a conventional ICE vehicle. When my MME's heat is working, the hot air starts coming out really quickly. With E heat, it shouldn't matter whether you use manual or auto heat mode. Something is wrong if the vehicle is blowing cold air when you have heat at max levels, auto mode or not.
