the real-time DCFC worked well yesterday. am i correct that i still have to refresh soon after the DCFC session started in order to the feature to initiate real-time data? i did and it updated regularly and will be useful.

i do not see a "View DCFC logs" option in the three dot menu though. is that the right place? i don't see it in the settings either though so not sure where else to look. pixel 7/android 14b5.

You need to have three things enabled for it to work:

1. "Display charge session info" (to grab the charging data)
2. "Display DCFC info" (to automatically grab data every 30 seconds when DC fast charging)
3. "Save DCFC logs" (to write the data out do a file, which is what "View DCFC logs" reads)

So following your advice I refreshed once connected to the dcfc and now have 3 logs recorded. Data matches up with the EVGo app. Nice work.

For me to get logs once I had connected to the charger I force refreshed the widget and then the logs will show up. Give it shot see it that works for you too ?

Right now, the "View DCFC logs" option won't appear until an actual DC fast charging session was recorded, which won't happen if all three charging settings are enabled. That seemed like a good idea at the time.

Next release will change that; if one of your vehicles is a BEV or PHEV, you will be able to enable those three settings (ICE and hybrid owners don't care about these settings). The menu option will then appear regardless of your settings, but if you click on it you'll either see your saved logs or it will explain why there aren't any logs (i.e., you need to enable "Save DCFC logs", etc).

since i've pointed a few folks at the lead post in the thread recently i noticed that it is a bit out of date. in particular, you might update the post to note you're submitting it to google play now since that may push new adopters away before trying it.

Uploaded version 2023.08.20 to GitHub and Play Store. This is a bugfix for a crash when opening the app. It's a bit weird since I can't reproduce the bug itself and I don't think everyone is encountering it.

GitHub users: If you don't see a notification in the next few hours, try rebooting your phone and then give it an hour. If you still don't see it, you may need to manually sideload again.

This update disables the remote start/stop, lock/unlock, and force updates, because as someone pointed out to me Ford changed the API again to deactivate these features. The app will save your current settings if you are using these, in the hope that when the public API goes online "sometime soon*" they can be automatically re-enabled for you. I mainly wanted to remove them to prevent users from poking at forbidden API calls and possibly angering the servers into locking someone out.

yeah, they've been on a tear breaking this and the home assistant integration. ?

in case folks see this later, if you happened to be using the "+" email notation (gmail and some other email platforms) for the email address/user id in any ford account, the fordpass folks have deemed them "fake" and have been disabling them. more information in the fordpass-ha integration github page here if folks are interested.

the ford account with the "+" notation email address still works as far as i can tell; it just can't be used with fordpass.
