Android Widget for Mach-E [Less Complex]

This is a heads-up for version 2023.07.25 which will upload shortly to GitHub only. If feedback is good then I'll also push to the Play Store, but in case this release turns out to be ? I didn't want to mess too many users up. I haven't found any issues, but YMMV. Just in case, back up your setting first.

This is the first attempt at the DC fast charge log viewer; I'm fairly pleased with it but open to feedback and bug reports. You will need to enable the three DCFC settings for it to work; you'll then see a "Display DCFC info" entry in the three-dot menu once there is session data. You won't see anything real-time, only after you finish charging (that maybe a future option, but do test it I really need log files since I won't be DCFC anytime soon).

I'm looking for feedback in particular after you do multiple charging sessions, to make sure the data for each individual session shows up correctly.

Any feedback? As a Play Store user I am looking forward to this functionality. Anyone playing with charging data?

Duh. Should have posted an update here. The Play Store version was pushed out yesterday. Play Store and Github versions are now both 2023.08.03.

For what it's worth, I've received no feedback so I don't know if anyone's used it. We took a trip last weekend where I did DCFC and stupidly forgot to turn on all the settings ?‍

I hate public charging so I avoid DCFC stations as much as I can. And fortunately, I have not had to use one for a few months.

first trip requiring DCFC sessions this weekend since this feature landed and it worked very smoothly. it was fantastic seeing the updates on the charging rate on the widget and it was SO much easier than using fordpass..

very useful when one session dropped from ~130kW rate down to ~50kW (probably due to lack of preconditioning before charge session) so i just cancelled the session and planned one later for when i could precondition.

Glad to hear it worked. For the next release, I'm working on displaying the data live during the charging session.

You mean the reminder to plug the car in if it isn't? If so, that should still be working.

I take that back... I think I broke that when I had to make the change to manually add vehicles. I'll make a note to check on it.

Yeah, this was a d'oh error when refactoring that code. It will be fixed in the next release.

Any chance you can make the refresh button a bit larger in the full-size widget? On my Galaxy S22U, the refresh button is incredibly tiny and hard to actually hit.

I can increase the size by 25% and see how that works? I personally don't recommend using the refresh as I believe it's more likely to cause accounts to be locked out, but if you've been using without issues maybe I'm just paranoid.

I enabled the Charging Reminder and it worked well. ?

one request (there's ALWAYS one more... ?): it would be useful to have the Charging Reminder notification on a separate notification channel than the rest of the widget notifications. i use the other notifications as informational and have them set to silent. however, the Charging Reminder would be more useful to have set to a noise to actually remind me.

OK I know the answer is somewhere in this loooong thread... but maybe a simple Q / A is a better path. I love this widget, yet it recently lost its ability to get data from the FordPass app.

How to get the widget to re-engage? Thanks in advance.
