@kennelh does the ignition icon differentiate between "full accessory power active" and "car is running" (i.e., ignition button was pressed while brake was applied)? The help page for the widget just says "... green when the vehicle is on, gray when off, and yellow when remote start is active". Thanks.

Good question. I think it's "car is running". I really wish I could test it but my token expired so I am SOL like everyone else.

Unfortunately nothing has changed. I reached out to my contacts in early Feb and they haven't heard any news either.
Mine is still working fine. Not sure why

In the past month I reached out to my contact at Ford and recently I got a response. The explanation is that the public API isn't dead. They had to prioritize their efforts on compliance with the EU Data Act, but that work would also be usable in the US as well. Stay tuned.

At least the EU tries to protect its citizens in that regard. In the US not so much...

Widget adjacent request:

A few years back Google created some insane requirements to publish an app on the Play Store (insane for small developers). Apps must now go through internal testing before a public release, and Google require a significant number of testers. I've written a very simple app which I wanted to make available to the public (GitHub link below), but I have to locate testers first.

If you're willing to be a tester, either DM me or send an e-mail to my developers account ([email protected]).

https://github.com/khpylon/RingControl

Update: the app is now live on the Play Store, thanks for everyone who volunteered to test it.
