They don't call them Massholes for nothing... Two ice cars parked at a convenience store charging location with plenty of other (and closer) parking. They left then this guy pulled in making sure he filled up two of the four charging spots.

I just got back from a 4k mile trip and was asked by host in NH not to talk about my car at her gathering as it would not be received well. ?

It's always these types that are the snowflakes, imagine being triggered by someone's choice of fuel.

I'm not about vandalizing someone's vehicle, but man that feels like a slashed tire offense. Kinda like talk shit get hit....
Well, then that would really mean he wouldn't move out the space. It's easier to distract them by saying you saw a trans person walking into the restroom.

or just block them in while charging.

"can't move, it's charging. I guess you'll just have to wait 40 minutes."

[40 minutes later]

"actually you know what, I kinda need to charge to 100% today, better make it 90 minutes."

I expected it in the T, but after one week of ownership I received my first single finger salute from a passenger in a chevy suv.

I didn't do nuthin, wasn't following close, wasn't agressive in any way. just putting along a 30mph street at 35 listening to a podcast.

as the chevy in front of me pulls away at the light, the passenger gives me the single finger salute.

at that point, i knew, i need to keep a bigger distance from buford. not sure why, maybe it was the "that's not a mustang" thing, dunno. maybe just EV hate i guess.

anyone else experience the love as such?
Yes - the big pickups/SUV's seem to love to tail gate!

My wife loves her Prius. It's not my favorite but it does what it's designed for very well. She drives a lot around town for work, pretty much a social worker and gets a mileage check. The benefit is it's not flashy and she goes to some crappy places.
Am I a dying breed that really doesn't care much about what type of vehicles other people drive, buy or own?

It might be simpler than that. "Convenient spot. I'll park here, nobody is using these things. I better park at an angle so my truck doesn't get dinged. I'll only be a few minutes anyway."

I like to always expect people to be well-intentioned, but it's pretty hard lately.

Part of the great fun of an EV is that you can see/hear when they're going to make a move, but there's nothing to telegraph your moves. A tiny throttle blip and you've wiped out whatever their torque twist/grunting/searching for a gear was intended to accomplish. When they're close enough it's great fun to watch the confusion when you suddenly hop 20 feet away.

/I don't recommend messing around with angry drivers, but if you're going to, use an EV.

Yeah. It's just not necessarily malice though. Just arrogance, a lack of consideration, and frankly these are Extremely Important People. They're better than us, so...

i posted in the OP. we were putting down a 30 mph street. to elaborate i had cruise on and set for max distance. i did nothing, i drive this thing like a grandma. the "whoosh" of EV driving is long over for me, i've been driving elec for 8+ years. i don't hot rod a car i just plopped down +60k for.

that's ev hate.

Driving like a grandma is what got you this, not the EV hate, 99% of the people won't know if the car is an EV unless it's a Tesla.

There are a few times in life when I had to flip someone for driving like a grandma/grandpa, hopefully, they didn't go to the corresponding forums of their cars and post what you posted.

Hopefully, you are not of those people who try to get 500 mi/kwh on the left lanes!

I hate that politics would have anything to do with it. I’m sure like me there are owners that just want a great EV regardless of their political leanings.
I live in a state where we have political candidates make statements like this: ?

It is pretty apparent that his followers will repeat this rhetoric when they weren't even thinking about it last week. It is just the country that we live in. ?‍♂

I always feel sympathy for someone driving a Prius, "Man, they must have a shitty long commute if they have to resort to a Prius.."

Ironically the only real negative feedback I have got about our MachE was at the Union hall..
I had one for ten years and honestly it wasn't a bad daily driver. Fun to drive? No. Butt ugly? Yes. Easy to drive? Yes. Comfortable and surprisingly smooth. (The Touring version had a bit better suspension.) Of course I don't miss it though ?!

I was driving in Napa once and a top down SL Benz driver in front of me was dicking with his phone or something when the light turned green, so after a few seconds I gave him a gentle horn beep. It was hysterical how he reacted. Super pissed off, flipped me the bird at least half a dozen times and kept doing so for miles. I just laughed and laughed. What a tool.

Oh, and apropos to this topic of this thread, I've experienced no EV hate (so far), but living in SF it's not likely. I did have a young Mustang 5.0 driver flash me a very enthusiastic smile and big thumbs up while driving down the freeway though... ?

Had a couple people give me salute as well. One being in a older model van and one in a ICE Mustang 5.0. What I believe most of the haters are people that are mechanics, auto repair shop owners, etc. in the car biz that see EV'S taken away furure business. I totally understand that and your a bigger man/women if you just ignore it and keep driving your badass Pony. Though I have gotten way more compliments and thumbs up and many turning heads saying...."WTF KINDA CAR IS THAT!!"?
That's one of the big perks driving the Pony and seeing people's facial reactions.....ohhh yeah and also driving the Mustang?.
