If this kit pumped sound into the cabin, rather than outside the cabin, I could more easily get behind it.
The car already has that 'propulsion sound'.

I do have fond memories of what some of my fav performance cars sounded like... personal fav was my '66 Sunbeam Tiger with Ford 260 bored out to 289, big cam, headers, and straight thru glasspaks... but those days are gone and the Mach-e is an SUV, not a performance vehicle.

As far as auto-shows go... my fav EV is my '94 eMiata conversion. I put that sucker in N, rev the motor, and the dc motor fan blows dirt out from under the car like a leaf blower on steroids with a big 'whoooosh'. Not many DB, but the crowd loves it.
Sound matters!

I'm not gonna lie....it sounds pretty badass and this guys reaction at the :15s mark from a video posted last year by EV Sportline says it all.

He was casually walking by until the Mach-E "fired" up and it literally stopped him in his tracks and he started checking the car out........

It's a conversation starter for sure, with many strong opinions voiced.

On another forum, someone has a shop install it. With installation, they're out just under $2,700...
My installing cost was $1070

Coyote or Predator......... id skip the LT2 and Hemi sounds.
The ability to dramatically change how your vehicle sounds is so counterintuitive to what we've all known for so long that you really need to experience it to understand how cool it is. You'll find that different sound options sound good to you on different days and in different circumstances. Kind of how music hits differently depending on how you're feeling. To your point, there are days when I'm really loving the Hemi sound, while on other days I'm not. The cool thing is, you don't have to commit so it doesn't really matter if you don't like a particular sound option, just don't use it.

At the moment it comes with 4 sound selections:
- Ford Mustang 5.0L GT
- Ford Shelby GT500
- Chevrolet C8
- Dodge SRT 392.
I have attached all 4 sound selections.
The question is: Which one would you pick?

Which one is which sound?

Does the app allow selecting which existing sound is played or allow replacing the existing sound with something new?
The kit comes preloaded with 4 sounds.

The app will be available in the spring and here's how it works.

The app configures the controller when the car is stationary and not in motion. Once the car is in motion the app is inoperable for safety reasons.

The controller has 2 knobs: 1) - A volume/power knob so you can control the volume, or turn the whole thing off whenever you want. 2) - A knob with 4 positions which allows you to toggle between 4 sounds.

When the car is stationary and your phone has a wi-fi connection you have access to the sound library, with numerous sounds including futuristic, sci-fi sounds as well as a wide variety of iconic ICE engines. We're designing more and more sounds every week and we intend to have hundreds available. All of these sounds are tied to the dynamics of the vehicle, throttle position, wheel speed, engine load etc., so the sounds change in real time as you drive through different conditions. Driving hard in to corners, up hills, under acceleration, deceleration, simulated gear shifts (you can change shift points through through the app) and more.

You'll also be able to modify the sounds further to your liking with effects and filters like EQ, reverb, phasers etc..... Save your presets and have sounds that are unique to you.

Once the car is in motion, the app no longer functions and the controller becomes the user interface, with only the functionality of the 2 knobs available.

What sounds would you guys want to have?

I would think you could pull some good ones from here.

Integrating iconic sound effects from television and movies is something a lot of people have asked about, so you're not alone. It's certainly a possibility but there are some IP issues we have to work around.

We're looking into licensing some of that stuff in addition to designing unique sounds you haven't heard before.

Probably no surprise, but Star Wars sounds are by far the most requested with TIE Fighter being #1 - followed by Millennium Falcon -

This stuff sounds good to me too -

So many options to personalize your sound and really make it yours.
