A search on Ford's website shows two results for a cabin air filter ('24 GT). Does anyone know what the difference is ($80 is a lot for filter)? A Google search didn't turn up anything informative.

Are they different filters for different model years with different types of ventilation systems?

I used my VIN and got those two results. I'm not aware of more than one system, but I guess it's possible.

Odd! By VIN you ought to be able to rely on the result but I was going on the usage details

If you want activated charcoal for odor filtration as well, grab the Lincoln Aviator's filter - FP90. Drop in replacement, same housing goes in the Lincoln.

Yes, $80 is out of line.
You could take out the filter. The manual will show how easy it is.
There may be a part number on it. If not, take it to an auto store and match it up.

I replaced my cabin air filters on my MME and Lightning with K&N lifetime filters. Less obstruction, increased airflow and a bit quieter.
The K&N filters will not do much about odor reduction. K&N filters are for lifetime. You can clean them, dry them and use them for as long as you want.

I don’t know. I get some satisfaction in throwing a dirty filter in the trash and putting a new one in its place. Your method feels similar to using a cloth diaper.

All my vehicles, Mustang GT conv and my daughter Fusion Hybrid, as my previous ICE vehicles had K&N air filters.
Nothing close to cloth diapers.
It is a choice that I made a long time ago with K&N filters.
They just last a long time.

I put a K&N cabin filter in my 2021. I got one for my 2024 but haven’t installed it yet since the original has half a year of use. I pretty much always use K&N engine intake filters on my ICE cars. Saves landfill space and flows better than paper. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ©
