The first one is self explanatory.

This one shows the headlights are on and when brake light come on, useful in 1-pedal mode.

And why is the distance indicator a damn rectangle. I would have used a chevron or something better looking.

Finally, can we make the car in the display the same color as my actual car.

There already is an indicator that the headlights are on. Lower left corner of the display in green, next to the automatic headlight indicator.

In your ICE vehicle, did you need an indicator that the brake lights were on? Or did you just trust that when you pressed on the brake pedal they came on? Car automatically illuminates them when you hit 0.1 g of deceleration. Which isn’t much.

CarPlay automatically puts up navigation prompts in the area that you put the map.

Sync 3 in our Explorer puts the media playing on the IPC as an option. Seems like they could have kept that going in Sync 4, like your pic suggests there is room to do it.

Also, I like the brake indicator idea. As a courtesy to drivers behind me, I want to minimize my use of brake lights, but with 1pd it’s probably coming on more than I realize. Also helps with traffic because if the car behind me brakes, then it’s more likely to create a chain reaction to slow everything down.

The brake thing is not for making sure they come on. It’s to see if they are coming on when I don’t want them to, because I can’t control that directly, I don’t use my brake pedal. Not sure if you know about the chain reaction that causes backups when people tap their brakes for no reason.

I know about the tiny little indicator that is in every car. Why not have a cool indicator on the big ass car in the middle?

It would be cool to be able to customize the IPC with these options. I might even like a calmed ipc with just speedo, state of charge, regen, and tachometer. Because i would like to know when i'm spinning at 20,000 rpm just because!

The brake light thing, however useful you think that might be, will become annoying at night after 15 min of stop and go leaving a concert, partially tipsy. Otherwise I like the others

I do wish for a media display so I can see song/artist playing. No way to see song name and artist now on XM when using Android Auto. Plus would like to see it in front of me and not down to the right.

It seems to me like the cool indicator would be a reason for people to stare at the dash instead of out at the road. A safety hazard.
The entire car is a distraction. ?
Looking to see if your lights are on on a big car is more distracting than looking for the tiny indicator on the bottom left?

You should be concentrating on controlling the distance between you and the car in front of you, not worrying about whether your brake lights are on because you decellerated a little too fast. If you want finer control of the brake lights coming on, then you need to use 2-pedal mode. Staring down at the display to see if they are triggering is a safety issue.

Because it is distracting? And unnecessary?

If you can't tell if your lights are on at night, then you have a problem. And if you can't glance down at a fixed location to see a bright green indicator light on, you might have another problem. It's not like this indicator is a new thing for cars with automatic headlights.
