Nope. You could try towing your MME with the transmission in reverse and see what happens. I read that is how they tow charged early Rivian prototypes. But probably it would cause serious damage. Give it a shot and let us know if it works!
BOOM! ?

Use screw-in tow eye instead?
I've not looked myself, but I've read elsewhere on the forum that U.S.-spec Mach-E's don't have the threads that a tow eye would screw into, and the pop-out piece of the bumper that accesses the wires to pop the frunk when the 12V battery is dead doesn't line up with the structure where those threads would be, anyway.

You are correct, unfortunately. There is a hole but it is not threaded, and like you said it doesn't line up properly anyway. So stupid. They saved maybe $0.50 per vehicle? I would have purchased my own tow hook if they at least put a threaded hole there.

Yes, there is a front tow hook that stores in the frunk.

I bought a tow Bridle that goes in the front tow points. And a flat strap just in case I ever need them. I am tempted to get a friend with a pickup truck

US MME do not have a front tow hook, or approved rear hitch receiver for towing or bike rack.

This is why I got the bridle for the front, and installed hitch receiver on the back

There is a hole, but it’s not the one intended for the EU-spec MME tow hook. I have the tow hook and was going to install a threaded plate but there is another problem in that the eye uses a wildcat left hand metric thread. I can’t seem to find the proper left handed tap for it so my project stalled. There are aftermarket tow hooks that can be installed but installation is invasive (need to remove the front bumper cover in order to drill the face bar and install the threaded backing plate). ?‍♂?

Yeah, and removing the front bumper cover is a huge job. You practically have to disassemble the entire front end. (I've not done it - only looked at the service manual.)

Yep. Martin’s write-up of his aftermarket tow hook install is here.

Who wudda known??‍♂ Why would that be?
I'm guessing there's a Directive for the EU that requires it, where our silly US DOT doesn't require it. ??

Hey! Don’t knock your US standards, I’d have your VDO & NHTSA in a heartbeat!
