I got official confirmation from my dealer this morning that the charge port and harness are covered by the 100k warranty.

Just for some additional info they expect 3-5 days for it to come in but don't have a timeline for actual replacement of it since this is the first one they have replaced. My "guide" is hoping that I'll have my car back by Friday. If you can get the dealer to confirm that this is what it is you could likely have your car back in a week or so.

Our 21 Job 1 has 31k miles on it and is in the shop for this exact issue/symptoms. Seems to be more common as these cars age.

It looks like this actually started with an update a few months ago that exposed an existing hardware issue.

Mine might be on it's way out as well. Yesterday the EVSE dropped to 4.4kw due to the handle overheating. Not sure if my EVSE is going to mitigate it or if it's truely on it's way out. Job1 , 30k on the clock. Now charging <40amps because AZ summer.

Well things are not going well so far...
Ford corporate got the ball rolling for me at the dealer, they got the car torn apart ready for the new charge port. Right then the part number changed in the system and went on back order.

Now they're still hiding behind "it's back ordered" meanwhile other dealerships are successfully ordering and getting the parts from what I hear.

The car has gotten worse, only charges at 1.5 kw when I'm at home. So pretty much not unusable if it's going to take over 24 hrs to charge.

Dealer says they have no loaners so my only option is to rent a car out of pocket and pray that Ford might maybe reimburse me for the rental, not including taxes and fees.

First time in over 2 years of owning this car I'm feeling truly stranded ?

have you tried DCFC to see if the problem persists? it uses different temperature sensors and they may not be affected.

DCFC charging in the short (hopefully!) term until the charge port arrives would be cheaper than rental+gas.

As of yesterday, DC charging doesn't seem to be working either. I'll try again today, but not looking good.

On a side note the Bev team came in to the rescue today! They set up an appointment for next week at a different dealership with a loaner for me ?

Little update!

After getting the corporate BEV team involved and harassing the dealer in my behalf, I suddenly got the red carpet treatment.

Everything from offering a rental car to even offering to pick up the car from my house for the service.

Funny how the boss breathing down your neck can suddenly make you behave differently ?

In any case, they got my charge port replaced and I've been charging steadily for the last hour and a half at 10.5 kw

So far so good

No joy here still waiting over a month and a half now. Maybe they will fix it when it is in for the second HVBJB? Not feeling too much like I can travel again with service vehicle soon on the IPC every time I start it. At least the problem is well documented now and hope I do not need to wait 4.5 months once they decide to change out the part waiting for it (over a year with the problem having to keep it on a 12V charger 24/7 before a junction box arrives and gets replaced with another defective one). Charging port time line ?‍♂ Becoming a bit of a joke. No sense getting mad so might as well laugh at how absolutely ridiculous the lack of reliability with this car has been. happy travels wishing you luck.
