When they have been claiming it is IN production right now, the vehicle they showed would very likely be a first run or one of the last pre production vehicles built. Once you scale up, an argument could be made that they will be worse than what is seen now. (Since speed becomes a priority)

Personally I think they are pretty ugly, and not built to be a truck at all. They will struggle to take any of the real truck market with them.
"Real truck market". Have you seen the how people use their trucks??

Misalignments aside, this may be the ugliest vehicle I have sever seen.
Well, 210K of these existed at one point

Yikes! Ok, this is a VERY close second. If it's watertight, it would make a great submarine though!

A work truck is what hauls the goods, tools, and persons needed for the job. The Lightning and CT may do the job well for some. Big batteries, 110, even 220, eletric outlets, built in air compresser, short tows, or other features all are often needed.

Tesla has clearly lost the thread here, imagine the time wasted, they could have been designing an actual good looking EV that’s practical for people and get a bigger EV in the mainstream, what a waste.
Something I think a lot of people don't realize is that Tesla is successful in spite of Elon but because of him, and this vehicle was entirely his idea.

7k lb horizontal lawn dart. This thing would slice through most cars it hit, and probably keep on going like nothing happened. Using the areo of a F-117 is not the immediate future. But it is one a high as hell mid 30's kid could dream up.

This thing will be like most JKU's and Gladiators. Mall destroyers. Sound track playing in the background as all the middle schools gawk in awe.

That is the most ugly car ever made. It's also a hazard and I don't know how its allowed to pass safety laws. If it is made from stainless steel and has no crumple zones then it is more like a tank.
Anyway, I would have loved to see more photos of the Black Ferrari Dino next to it (one of my favourite cars ever).
IMHO the AMC Pace was the ugliest car ever built.

You can’t judge the car until it’s in the hands of consumers or major automotive journalists for reviews.
or until that one dude everyone loves (I forget his name) posts some many-hours-long, random, rambling video of the vehicle in FairPlay, CO, or something. ?

I've had some coast to coast flights recently and read the Elon Musk book...

Why the weird design for the CT? Apparently because Elon thinks "the future never looks like the future"... as depicted in movies (e.g. Blade Runner). The CT is supposed to look futuristic.

I'd rather have a jetpack. :)

I don't look forward to having to park next to one of these behemoths. It grinds my gears to no end that trucks have gotten so large yet parking spaces have remained the same size in many places.
Tell me about it. I see trucks here in FL all the time that are parked correctly in the parking spot, but the front and back the of the truck stick out over the designated parking lines; and not by a small amount. So you end up not being able to park in a space behind the truck and you have to maneuver around the front of the truck when you drive in front of it. It's gotten ridiculous.

Yeah, have you seen Cybertruck? They won't be able to even do the basic stuff with it...
