There was several variations on the rotors in 3 years. Part numbers replaced part numbers. But as far as I can tell they’re the same. I also can’t find how thick they are to start but I have the min number around in one of my posts. Sadly as 1 member found out, using the brake procedure can be tricky to get out of. He’s still stuck with all 4 wheels clamped in his garage as the process won’t let go.
Erik, the parking brake only uses the rear brakes! I am able to use the vehicle…..

Yes, still stuck in “Brake Service Mode”, no written instructions have worked.
Have an appointment on Tuesday,
but have ordered a ford style diagnostic scanner…….., received today, I sure hope it’s service mode for EPB works……
Still waiting for someone who has used the written instructions to get into the service mode! Bill P

I wish they stated in the report that when removed their was no sticking of the pad and even mentioned oasis and 22-2203. Only said warped rotors didn't mention anything about rotor thickness. Did say they were previously resurfaced though.
sounds to me like maybe they were not replaced and badly re-surfaced when you had the original pad sticking issue..... there is NO WAY you should need a second set of rotors

I don't know what to think now took it on a whim to Midas and now they said my right ball bearing joint is bad!! I don't hear any sounds and no issues I can tell steering so I don't think it's that. I might just have to like said try and loaner issue and get the brakes off would their be material under the pad only?? I also noticed build up of assuming break dust bad on one rim it was like dried cake batter but breaks free wondering if just need new brakes or what I'm at a loss and not knowing if a mechanic is honest or not is very frustrating. I would think ford dealership is honest atleast but being charged more than me just ordering the parts through their link makes me question.

Sorry rant thank you to you all again I appreciate.

Is this an aggressive driving/dirt roads/cold, wet climate thing? My MME rotors and brake pads look new after one year and 8k miles driving in southern Arizona.

And yes, it’s not unheard of to need new rotors that quickly in an EV.
I disagree, that's unheard of in an EV with less than 30k miles. EVs rarely use friction brakes unless you drive like a maniac. I just checked mine at 24k miles and there's hardly any wear, looks almost brand new.

Depends where you live. Not using the friction brakes actually allows rotors to rust very quickly in areas that use road salt.

How did you check yours?

if we use so little of the friction brakes why are the wheels covered in brake dust after 100 miles?

This thread is concerning. what happened to regenerative braking? My current hybrid is at 95,000ish miles and I've only had the pads replaced once (and nothing to do with any of the rest of the braking system), I think, I can't remember for sure, it may have just been an inspection (with a "they're fine"), around 60,000 if I remember right.

(currently considering getting a Mach-E)

(I also live in a road-salt area).

This is super easy to diagnose since you have 1 pedal drive. Is there a vibration when you're decelerating when using 1 pedal drive and not engaging the brakes? If yes, it could and likely is more than the brakes.

If no, and it only happens when you use the brakes - switch the neutral and really use the brakes. Does it get worse? If so, definitely the brakes.

When I wrote my reply a couple just above, I had somehow managed to skip an entire page of responses when reading this thread.

So the problem is that the brakes don't get used enough, and therefore don't clean off whatever gunk builds up over time, until said gunk builds up to some level causing damage?

That‘s the problem in Vermont. If you don’t shift to neutral before braking occasionally to clean them off, there’s a good chance the car won’t pass state inspection due to rust on the rotors.

So I tried 1 pedal while doing some errands not very far no shaking even when slowing down from 75 coming off highway. Definitely shaking when hitting brakes hant tried the switch to neutral then braking. I normally always used the brake pedal. This is my real first time using 1 pedal other than trying when I first got the car. Sf east bay is the region.

So I'm thinking of diy with loaner tools from AutoZone, I have a 2 1/4 ton jack will that be enough to do each wheel one by one I ordered the pads for jacks??
I would recommend replacing the pads at the same time too. That's what I read when I needed to replace my rotors 10 years ago.
