So... you have extras then. $7.99 seems a bit steep for a 10 pack. I have 2 car payments to make these days. And teenage boys eat so much! Want to email me one of your extras?
Sure, but I’m not sure how to attach one to an email :) I can put one in an envelope and mail it to you though if you want to PM me your address.

I pulled off speaker grill cover. There is an inside piece in the cover you can remove. I then cut three small layers (round) of 1/8 inch neoprene rubber and laid those in the outside cover and screwed it back together leaving the inside plastic screen out. You can just barely hear the backup and pedestrian alert noise now. Much less obnoxious.

Where you guys able to do this without a jack? I don’t have anything I would trust to get under this tank.

I drove my car onto some 3x12 lumber
3x12?? Who the hell has 3x12 laying around. I don’t often say this but... I am impressed by your wood.

No car yet :^( but I'm inclined to try and lower the volume as well. You might want to try using LMV (low mass vinyl). It really deadens sound - one of the better sound proofing materials. I've used it many times to build sound-deadening enclosures around Servers, music rooms, etc.

1 lb. variety should be fine. Easy to source on Amazon, etc.

Or just add a resistor inline to reduce the volume but not eliminate it.

It's a tight squeeze under there, I would venture to say you need to raise it about 6 inches to give you a foot of clearance.
