A bit offtopic: i also disabled double honk and seatbelt chimes with forscan, and i think its much better this way.
I need the double honk. I just walked away from my car with it on and was grateful to have it. LOL

Followed the instructions and everything is enabled in the menu. The module is on the car, but the liftgate will not open. What am I missing? 2022 GTPE.
Thanks!

I posted this a page ago. This was what made it work for me.

*** As I continued to peruse the forum looking for anyone else who had malfunction issues, I saw i8iridium's post about the LIN callibration. Because I don't like to give up I thought, let me try that one last thing before going to bed. So I Googled the procedure and went out to the garage one last time... I did the procedure, packed up, and for the hell of it kicked under the license plate... WTF?!?! It worked!!!!

Has anyone attempted to install the hardware on a '24 and then enabled the software?

Thanks OP! Just did this as my first forscan mod.

At first, it didn’t show up, but I had to reboot the screen and now it is all good! Cool feature to have. Thanks!!?

Aren't their parts that I would need? We were told it wasn't activated because of a chip shortage.
I followed the procedure and everything seemed to work fine. I went back and stuck my foot under and the hatch opened. I tried to repeat it and haven't been able to get it to work a second time. Any thoughts?

An actual toe tap is what it used to take on my '21 model. Not just the 'wave'.

I'm wondering if there is a timeout and I was trying it to soon?? I did a bunch of errands shortly after posting and it's now worked every time.

It is a super fickle sensor. It works most of the time for me, but every once in a while it doesn't see my foot movement and I have to keep trying. The other thing for me is I use PAAK and if my phone hasn't connected to the car yet, it is just like standing at the door and pushing the button and not getting a response.

That makes sense. I ran some errands and it worked fairly reliably. I have a trailer hitch and worried about that interfering, but it actually helps align my foot in the right area.

And the thread remains alive.

I have no idea if I have the module installed, but in my Vehicle menu, I do have the option to disable or enable the Power Liftgate.

1. Is this a software glitch?
OR
2. Do I have the module actually installed, but it's disabled in the firmware? I have made love beneath the rear bumper, but the rear door did not open. Yes, the keyfob was near...
Yes, I can go look under the car and in an hour see whether I have the module installed. ORRRR, if the menu option being enabled represents that I ABSOLUTELY have it installed, I save myself that hour of looking.

No 2023+ models have the hardware for kick-to-open. All you have is the power liftgate.

Ohhhhhh
So us 23+ers have the power mechanism to lift the gate, but we lack the foot sensor smishamabob.

Basically, yes. And technically 2022 owners are in the same boat. I have the modules installed, but they aren’t enabled. So no kick to open for me. I could follow the directions at the top of this thread and enable it if I wanted. But the amount of time I need to get into the trunk on a regular basis hasn’t been all that often, and the number of times where kick to open would be useful is even more rare.
