Did you or your dealer update the BCM and GFM modules? That’s a prerequisite for Job 1 cars.
No, I do not know what that is, so I did not. I never asked the dealer to do it, so I will ask them when I go for my next tire rotation. Hopefully, it will not be a charge.
There’s also a routine to add the frunk button to the Sync screen that they’ll have to run for the button to show up there. Hopefully, they won’t charge you, but there is no official bulletin from Ford for enabling the frunk.
Does anyone know if the Mach e fob has 5 buttons, the bottom one covered by the black plastic shell? If it does, one could DIY drill or cut hole in the plastic cover, and insert a console ps5 button or piece of silicone, etc. to act as the external button cover. Then program. Not elegant but f150 lightening fobs are out of stock ( other than 200 dollar dealer or ebay used fobs).FYI anyone going this route, fairly easy to pop out the button: push in on the little tab holes, pry apart gently and presto, extra buttons. Now I just need the Lightning one back in stock.

Depends who you ask. But since you’re asking me, I do think it will come OTA some day.do we think this will eventually come via OTA? Because I got that fob and paired it successfully with my car but it doesn't open the frunk
The sceptic in me say the OTA won't happen until after @Jimrpa has it done by his dealer (or by an FDRS intervention) ?
Even if Jim gets the GFM and BCM updates they still have that inhibit code preventing his account from having a frunk button. ??

Well, it’s going in on Monday and I’ve given them has explicit instructions as possible (there’s no way to give them the verbatim instructions and screenshots people gave me ?). So, by Monday night, I expect to be mashing the 7/8 key repeatedly, in disappointment, as nothing happens ?
