What’s this? A Positive post? Count me in Mr or Mrs Snaptrap. Since your new here you probably haven't seen my posts so a little history.

Neither my wife and I are "car people." We buy something for utility, use it until it dies, don't worry about what it looks like. It's a tool. As my wife needed to replace her escape she decided she wanted to be "greener" and we started looking at Hybrids. None quite fit the bill and we ended up test driving a Mach-E. It was perfect for what she does (Soccer Mom type stuff) while still being the coolest car she had ever owned AND more environmentally friendly. She fell in love and not having had single problem, she still is. She worries about the electric bill, until I tell her what her monthly mileage would have cost in Gasoline.

So she gets hers and not only is she in love, I find reasons to drive it. Now I'm a truck guy. The last car I bought was a 1979 Toyota Celica that I bought in high school. It's been all trucks ever since. I'm also a frugal guy. I work hard to not be in debt. There was NO reason in the world I should want a Mustang Mach-E, but I was obsessed. Within two weeks I had convinced myself that stopping using my F150 as a daily driver would prolong it's useful life and driving a Mach-E would save gas. So I went out and found one for myself. I was willing to take on two simultaneous car payments, something we've never done in 20 years of marriage. That's how much I loved my Mach-E.

As I said, I'm not really a car guy. But I spent 8 hours cleaning, claying, polishing and ceramic coating this car. (As I said, I'm frugal and I wasn't about to pay someone $2000 for something any person on youtube could teach me). I love this car enough to care about it. My trucks got washed once a year whether they needed it or not. I wash this car at least weekly. I've learned to do vinyl to add my own striping. Never before has any vehicle I owned received any kind of visual modification. I just spent a week figuring out how to make my pony emblem light up. Basically, the amount of love and attention I give this car... I understand how some wives are jealous of their husbands cars. But I also give attention to my wife's MME. Sometimes we wash them together and SHE HAS NEVER washed a car in her life. She's a farm girl who occasionally took her past cars to the automated car washes. We took our cars to a cars and coffee and she LOVED showing her car off. She loved telling the mustang guys about her pony. She memorized the horsepower and torque specifications so she could spew numbers to the boys. This woman refused to learn to put air in a tire for 18 years and now she is washing, helping do striping, and talking foot lbs.

TLDR: We're THAT middle aged couple and we both LOVE our Mustang Mach-E's.
(Gratuitous reason to repost photos)
Good to know there are others out there. Me to a tee but expressed so much better than I ever could ?.

You want the truth? Here’s the truth. There are only two camps of Mach E owners: those with problems, and those who don’t know they have problems. Anybody who says their MME is perfect isn’t paying close enough attention. Everybody has some of the same software bugs. Everybody has the same crappy FordPass app - but it might not bother you.

So, with that out of the way, I love my Mach E. Mechanically, it is nearly flawless. The one mechanical issue I’ve had - driver screen buzz - is going to be fixed in the next 48 hours. And while I can’t share specifics, I’m pretty sure none of the new builds will have this problem. :)

The in-car software can be annoying. But I’m pretty sure Ford will have a permanent fix for the door unlock bug soon. It’s only going to get better.

FordPass…. I dunno. That may be a while before it gets better. But it’s a relatively small part of owning the car.

Indeed...live in the burbs (Oregon). Born and raised on the Eastside! Yeah, I'm one of those people...lol!?
I run past Tony Packos when doing a long run on a regular basis. BTW, love California! Big Sur marathon is my all time favorite.?
Nah - way too hilly for a road race. If you like hills, take an ultra race - I would recommend Quicksilver or Miwok, hey - they just had Waldo 100K near your neighborhood. As for marathons - CIM any day for me (I live nearby). Or, if you like to travel - Chicago, New York, Boston - though those are bigger ones. What I am trying to say - Big Sur is too hilly for a marathon but too flat for a real hilly route :)

Hey everyone! I am new to the group here. I joined because I am in the market for a MME. Live in southern CA so most likely going to get the CA Rt 1. But… since I have joined this group, I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of issues/complaints with the vehicle. To be fair, I currently drive a Jeep Cherokee and there are certainly ample issues/complaints on the Cherokee forums. So I guess all I really am looking for are some good positive experiences. What do you all LOVE about your MME? Any SOCAL owners? If so, which model did you get and how is that working out for you. At the end of the… are you all happy with your purchase? Thanks in advance for any comments (helpful, sarcastic, or otherwise)! Be safe out there!

It's one of the best cars I've ever owned. And I've owned quite a few including Tesla, MBZ, Lincoln, Maserati, BMW as well as other Fords, Chevys, Honda, Toyota and Mopars. I plan to keep the MME as long as it runs.
Same here. It is the best car I’ve ever owned. Mostly, I've driven Fords, Hondas, Toyotas, and Cadillacs. This beats them all.

I never ran New York - but planning for the next year - heard about the vibe too many times from my friends - so, it's time. Hope they make getting in feasible - I heard last year it was almost impossible for non NYRR members...

I like it very much and it's my first electric vehicle. One thing I can't get over is the braking, there's a "brake coach" to teach how you how brakes should be applied. Whenever I want to brake hard, it just doesn't stop.

Does anyone know if I can switch from D to N when coasting to stop? Would that help to brake in shorter distances?
switch to unbridled, 1-pedal, and I'd bet you'll be able to brake so fast your glasses fall off.

Do not know about love. Like it the most. Owned many cars. Am still blown away by the Bolt. Never thought GM would sell a car with that degree of quality. Two Prius' were excellent cars.
Into the future and beyond.
Like the MME the most

I can't even drive my MME right now because it's sitting disabled in my driveway until I can get it to the dealership tomorrow, but it's still the best car I've ever owned.

Add the fact that the majority of dealers have no clue how to service them.
Not sure how that little nugget of information would even be knowable. Is this published somewhere?

Regardless, a few thousand units divided by hundreds of dealerships across the US means every problem that arises is likely to be a new one for that particular dealership. Dealership familiarity will unquestionably get better with time.

And on top of that, basically any part you would need is back ordered due to the world wide shortage.
False. 100% depends on the part needed. And this is not exclusive to the MME or even EVs at this point in time.

Tesla’s service absolutely crushes Fords in every aspect.
?????

Quick jaunt over to the Tesla forums reveals the top post right now is some dude who had to FLATBED HIS BRAND NEW Y TO A TESLA SERVICE CENTER FOR A FLAT TIRE, and had not heard anything other than "the tire is not in stock and will have to be ordered" in over 24 hours. I assure you, NO ONE in this forum who has ever owned a car before the MME can even envision a scenario that dumb, and there are some REALLY dumb dealership stories floating around.

I still enjoy the car, and I’m sure it will only get better. But when paying 50k for a car, we should not have to wait years for it to operate the way it’s supposed to at release, there is no excuse for it.
Full.

You can place me firmly in the"love it" column. It is hands down the funnest car I've ever owned (my Audi TT and Honda DelSol tie for second) The only thing I might change is getting it and grabber blue instead white. Now it is the first model year and that being the case it does come with some early adopter risks. But for me personally I'm totally okay with that and as long as Ford follows through with its promised OTA updates the relatively minor growing pains I've experienced are very much worth it.
Actually my biggest disappointment with the car so far is that they cheaped out and didn't put accent lighting in the rear of the cabin. (Something I'm sure will be addressed with an aftermarket mod)
