I personally feel that Sirius XM is a waste. It's expensive, audio quality is *meh* at best, and the stations repeat songs ALL THE TIME!

So here's my question. Does anyone subscribe to it anymore? If so, what's your reasoning?

I feel like every new car has xm radio, but I've maybe met one person with a subscription. Seems like a waste of money to build it in if nobody uses it.. Right?

On the other hand maybe there's a bigger demand for it than I thought... Where do you stand?

I have panadora, Amazon music, and unlimited Data. But I mostly listen to audiobooks downloaded from my local library.

The advertised price is way too high but you can easily talk them down with a phone call. They keep sending me discount offers in the mail, too.

I do ?

I have a few stations I flip between. I live in a rural areas, whenever we move we get even more remote, it seems. Years ago I couldn't get a radio station to come in reliably near home so I gravitated to Sirrius and been there ever since

This is so true ? Every 6 months I call to cancel and they give me a “new deal” that’s $7.99 a month lol and I don’t even have to haggle or anything. Well worth the 15 mins on the phone or even through chat.

I have Sirius in 3 vehicles and use it all the time. I tend to select different stations at different times, and my wife likes completely different stations from me. I also find it good on trips or in remote areas.

Personally I never listen to music on my phone or other devices, so maybe that is another reason I jsut stick with Sirius. They have 35 million subscribers.

I started SiriusXM years ago when the data service was too unreliable for streaming services. These days I stay subscribed mainly for The Message. It's the easiest way to find Christian music without constantly being bombarded with fund raisers.

I have an 'all access' subscription that will carry to the mach e, then the select package in my truck and Cayman.

I listen to howard stern, so that's part of it, but I really do like the music channels. They do repeat a lot but there are sooooo many and a lot of time I don't mind repeated music personally. I also like how it works when I take the truck out of cell service and terrestrial radio sucks on road trips (or in general).

I think I pay about $220/yr for all 3 cars. I also get 3 SXM accounts (1 per vehicle) so my mom and sister both get an account and can stream with their phones. There are some channels they like to listen to as well.

I do but only at the $5 a month which I've been getting for a decade or more. I just wish Ford would fix one of the many bugs. Audio settings that don't save to include the number of XM rows, mine keeps gong back to 3 from 5.
