I'm interested in hearing from people with WORKING dual charging setups. Not "I have two chargers on separate circuits", but "I have two chargers or a dual charger, on one circuit".

I have JuiceBox 48s, and they were fine until they forced me to the new app. That broke Time Of Use, lost the prorated charging, and sessions don't begin in the car delays them.

I am interested in intelligent chargers only, because I want TOU, and data.

I have found that Tesla chargers, specifically the latest Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector, charge at a 50/50 split (with my Juicebox chargers I could setup a 67/33 split. If the internet goes down, they still communicate fine by WiFi with each other it appears. $1,100 for two Universal Wall Connectors, $900 for two Wall Connectors and I supply the adapters).

I did find a few dual 48amp chargers, but one appears to no longer be made, some are dumb or not 48amps (Grizzl-E Duo).

Requirements:

-48amps
-intelligent
-downloadable data (highly desirable, if not downloadable I could key it)
- available today, no "no longer sold" solutions

If you have this working in your home, please respond. Thanks!

I believe @methorian had good luck power-sharing with two Wallbox Pulsar Plus units.

Yeap - still going strong 3 years later!

@RickMachE Feel free to ask any questions.

I installed 40A units since that's all they sold at the time, they now have 48A.
They're "smart" and have a nice web portal view where you can export data.
Support BT connections for local control/etc if/when you need.
Have a Cloud integration to Home Assistant for data/management if that's your jam (there was also local BT stuff in the works at one point for HA, but the cloud one has always worked well for me).

*EDIT: Forgot to mention the best part - the power sharing/load balancing is local (but does require data wires between the units), so still works even without internet.

FWIW I wasn't thrilled with the data from my WallConnector (sitting in the attic now). It required a 3rd party app and that app must be forefront in order to collect the data. I was using the WallConnector app in the applestore. I have Apple silicon Mac's so I could set up my desktop to run the iphone app, then I could kinda output the data. Truth is even if I left that app running for days large sections of data was lost. Mine was/is actually good as long as I dind't care to get historical data and didn't want to adjust the amps on the fly. Supposedly Tesla was supposed to come out with better software for it. If they have I'll dig back into it. As it stands it's getting set to 24amps and deployed at my cabin with 65 feet of new wiring.

I recently set up two Tesla Gen 3 Wall connectors on power sharing. I charge a Mach E and a Toyota Rav4 EV. It has been working fine. The Mach E tells the Tesla charger when to charge, and the Tesla tells the Rav4 when to charge. The Tesla app is ok, but the "Wall Monitor" gives more technical details. The Wall Monitor app only connects to ONE of the Tesla units, which limits the info available.

I run them at 40 amps continuous on a 60 amp circuit, primarily to manage the heat generated.

Having run two Juiceboxes for a total of 48amps for a while, I have no heat concerns. I do have data interest, and it sounds like that might be a challenge.

I have a setup with 2 Wallbox Pulsar Plus that are connected to share the circuit and they are plugged into a Neocharge Smart Splitter so I didn't have to install a 2nd plug on the circuit. The Wallbox setup to connect the chargers was simple and straightforward - took about 15 minutes or so. Had this going for about 1.5 years and it's been working fine. And the Wallbox app let's you configure the amperage that each charger delivers so you can give more juice to one over the other if you want.
