I just bought two mach-e‘s for my wife and me. I bought the extended warranty but no extended service plan. These are my 9th and 10th Fords. I have bought extended service plans multiple times, and I never felt like I got my money‘s worth. I also had difficulty a few times getting different dealerships to recognize them when i moved to different parts of the country. I also found that if I didn’t make sure to tell them I had it they would just try to bill me a lot of the time. On the Mach-e I thought about it because it is new and unknown for me but still decided against it because there should hopefully be less service and breakage anyway.

I always buy extended warranty because I keep cars for a long time. This has absolutely paid off for me. The Mach-e has a 3 years (and at least here in Maine it had 8 years on the battery). 3 years is not enough.

Price increases are coming on October 4. The current price is around $140 more expensive than what I paid in December last year.

When you purchase through Grangerford what type of documentation do you get to show to your local Ford dealer? Does it show up in your Ford account or on FordPass? Will you local Ford dealer see it when you schedule warranty work?

You'll get a receipt from Granger and it shows up in FordPass.

You don't need to show the dealer anything. When they pull up your VIN in PTS it will show what coverages you purchased.

my mach-e was coming up on 36,000 miles so i bought my 8/100k extended warranty from granger since i plan to keep the car. i don't normally buy warranties but even with the likelihood of another hvjb failure being covered under the factory warranty, in case other stuff fails (the 15" display, cameras, sensors, even headlight bulbs, etc), since i have a job1, it's some piece of mind of not getting a huge bill when i hand the car off to my son in a few years.

granger made it easy. paid online, got confirmation email a couple days later and it shows up on my ford pass app.

I went ahead today because of the Oct 4 Changes to the policy.
