Glad you caught it and got it fixed!Just had the electrician out. They found that a wire had come loose behind the 14-50 NEMA receptacle and was causing the arcing. They replaced the 14-50 NEMA outlet. Unfortunately, it was not the same electrician that did the installation or I would have asked for it to be covered at no cost. I have now had to open a ticket with Grizzl-E to see about replacing the power cord/adapter for the EVSE, as the electrician recommends against using the burnt power adapter on the current unit.
Turn the breaker off. You should call an electrician to inspect everything before your house starts on fire.Same issue, unplugged ford charger now. Safe now or still something arcing or damage behind wall within breaker-outlet?? I heard arcing sound even after unplug and stopped after two sec
Yes, see my pics I sent, you’ll just have to make sure your outlet is in the correct orientationI am wondering if it might be better to mount the Grizzl-E directly above the outlet to minimize the bending required to connect it?
I agree with the others. Flip the outlet over and mount the Grizzle-E above it. I‘m not sure the zip ties are doing much to relieve the twisting force.I have gone ahead and more securely attached the power adapter to the 240v outlet to hopefully prevent future arcing and overheating.

Not only is mine in the wrong position but it is also in a box so this could be tricky but I will find a way to git er dun! LolYeah, I thought about doing that, but my 14-50 NEMA outlet is upside-down in relation to the way that the Grizzl-e adapter would be facing with it mounted above the outlet. I also do not have a stud located in a spot that would allow me to mount the Grizzl-e in-line above the outlet. We are hoping to rebuild our garage this year and I will certainly be more planful regarding the location of the charging hardware with the rebuild.
