Ford App - New Start/Stop button

Android S22+ (2021 job 2) climate control showed up a few weeks ago. Not sure if it was an app update or associated with the group of OTA's before my recent 10.1.0 OTA.

It was added for my 21 J1 with the ECG update.

same on android S23. No climate controls, just extend.

Thats odd, I have a Samsung S23 as well and I've had climate controls on the app for my 2024 MME since I bought it over 2 months ago.

Still makes no sense who has it and who doesnt..Some 21's and some 23's, some Premiums and some GT'S, Some iphones and some android. I have a 23 Premium with an iphone and do not have climate controls. APP looks up to date. How can 21's have this function yet 23 and 24's do not.

Great point and questions, 2024 Premium (just bought at the end of January), FordPass 5.15.0 on an Android (Samsung S24+) and no controls.....

I have not received the Sync update that lets you use public charging while moving, is it possibly a missing Sync update?

I have the button and now it doesn’t work. When plugged in at home sometimes I want a little extra charge. If I tap start to get a charge outside of the charge windows it just spins.
I have to adjust the charge window in the car to initiate a charge. Super annoying!

Is your EVSE (charger) a "smart" charger that allows you to set your preferred charge times? If you have your charger controlling your charging window instead of (or in addition to) having the car control the charging times, then your EVSE might be rejecting the car's request for power. I have a "smart" charger, but I turn off most of the smart features and let the car handle all the timing logic. And the "start" button in FordPass should override the car's preferred charge times (but not EVSE configured times). At least, that's the way it works with my EVSE and MME...

Just a FYI. The controls are active for climate on my iPhone running Ford pass 5.16.0 Which was updated 6 days ago. The updates to my 2022 are quite current.

Interesting..My Ford Pass App was updated 3/27 to 5.15.0 with no climate controls. Maybe v5.16.0 update is the answer. Maybe those who have climate control can check Ford Pass version.

I don’t think anyone knows for sure. The facts are that tech-savvy folks on here know that the controls appeared for them with no updates to either the car or FordPass.

fully FDRS’d job1 21, but sitting in 6.3 reality. Can’t complain much, when it starts it works well. It might take 2 minutes to start the stupid car, but turns off instantly from my phone. 5.16.0 FordPass

5.16.0 is not the answer. I have it and no climate controls on my fully-updated 2024 (via FDRS). Ford needs to update the server side in order to activate it. ?‍?

Your right. I updated to 5.16.0 and still no climate controls.
