Disable and enable connected services. Delete all saved locations. Charge your car for 10 minutes. Unplug the evse and then save the location from the touchscreen. You should be able to use FordPass to make changes after that.

You should be able to, but as you're probably learning Ford's software is horrible.

What areacode mentioned should work. I've had to do that maybe twice since I got the car.

No, this is a 2022 and I plug it in every night. That would be hundreds of charges at this location an I have used public charges a few times. They donā€™t appear either.
Does FordPass show the correct address at your HOME? It sounds like your location setting isnā€™t working. Publicā€™s fast chargers never appear, only L1 & L2.

Yes, the FordPass app reflects the correct address.

Yes, the FordPass app reflects the correct address.
The more I thought about your situation the more I was going to suggest a solution similar to @areacode413. Clear everything out in the car and the app and switch connectivity on and off in the car. Then follow the steps suggested. There has to be some issue with the car identifying its location when charging. If you canā€™t get it to work in the car then the app will not work. And the reason I suggest clearing the app is so that the app is not trying to change settings in the car while you manually make changes in the car.

Yep, you can absolutely set the % charge on any Home charger, including the Ford Mobile Charger. I had mine set to 90% and it worked perfectly. I changed to the Emporia L2 EVSE and it worked great. Good luck with your in-car settings to set this up!

You may text Ford directly they are excellent when Iā€™ve use them and even have done follow up with me!

+1 (734) 892-0892
I contacted them, they were not able to assist. Gave me the number of the Ford IVT (in-vehicle tech). I spoke with 4 people in different divisions before I was transferred to the FordPass help desk. Non of which had ever experienced this problem. FordPass "escalated" it and said the developers will get back to me with a solution within 48 hours. We'll see... lol

I gave your suggestions a try. No luck. After speaking with 5 different Ford departments, the FordPass support ā€œescalatedā€ my issue (no one has come across my problem before, they say) and said the developers will be in touch w/in 48 hr with a solution. Hah! Weā€™ll see how that goes- Iā€™m not holding my breath- LOL

Yes, no locations. When I push the pencil icon to edit I get a message that I have to select a previous or saved location. Catch-22!
Hopefully, this should solve your issue. You can't edit a charging location that has not been saved. So how do you save a charging location? Here are some pictures in order with some instructions:

1. Start in your home's driveway/garage
2. Turn on but no need to start the car
3. Tap the Home button on your center display.

You should see the same image as above Note the yellow oval. Tap that icon ("Charging")

Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford Mobil Charger must always charge to 100% overnight? Screen 2

4. Now the display should look like the image above.. Again, note the yellow oval and make sure that the slider is to the right and not greyed out.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford Mobil Charger must always charge to 100% overnight? Screen 3

5. Hopefully your display will now look similar to the image above. Again, note the yellow oval highlighting the 'Add New Location' button.

Theoretically you should be able to add your location and set your charging preferences and location name (I used 'Home' ;) ).

If this doesn't work for you, please reply, let me know what didn't work, and I'll delete my saved location and do a quick video on the steps I use to add it back.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the great screen shots. It helps me to easily describe where my process goes awry. in step #4 my screen shows no slider for the "Charge Locations," and when I tap the edit pencil I get the error message I mentioned. (You must first save a location....)

I am currently waiting on a follow-up from the FordPass help desk as they said that "a developer would be in touch within 5 days-it has now been 7.

I appreciate ANY suggestions.

Ford Consumer Support Specialist tells me that the Ford Mobile Charger that came with my car is not able to be saved as a charge location and I can't set the max charge limit to less that 100% when using this charger.

My Big Screen tells me that I have no recent charge locations to save, therefore there is not any way to program preferred charge times and settings. Using the FordPass app, I am able to have the car precondition at specific times so that it is warmed up when I am ready to leave, but I want to throttle the max charge back to 90% or so.

Has anyone else run into problems like this using the Ford Mobil Charger that came with the car? I don't want to have to pony up another $1k for a charger if I can get this one to do what it should!
So is it possible for you to try a L2 charger somewhere else to see if it will show up after you charge for a few minuts as "previous location" and then enable you to save that one? This is extremely puzzling

Sure- I can try that again. I have used several L2 (even an L3) in the past couple of months and they don't show up. However- I acknowledge that those were all several auto system updates ago.
I will update again in a couple of days after I charge somewhere else.

it sounds like a bug in your particular car, I don't think I've heard anyone having that issue in both fordpass and sync 4. Hope it gets sorted for you. If it wasn't correctly reporting your location of your home in fordpass I would've suspected something to do with GPS, but you say the address is correct.
