We should reach out to Sergio, I think that was his name that works at the factory. They must know the reason.

They said a couple hundred or so I think. Not thousands. Plus my 1/12 build says ETA to dealer 2/15 updated today.
Where/How are you seeing that. My build date was 1/8, and I still have no ETA to the dealer that I can see - Ford site or that Ford tracker site.

I wonder if the few people that have their MME are actually getting answers? I can't imagine I would feel comfortable with Ford right now if I actually had a MME and they gave me corporate explanations.

The update from Ford implies

I am not sure if we can infer that yet - we dont know what they mean by several hundred built before deliveries began - so deliveries happened Dec 29ish - so all made before that date? that would several thousand - and we dont know if many vehicles have actually been built since then as they were trying to complete Dec builds in Jan.

But you may be right that anything at the plant is OK or will be OK. If they already have the fix in place and implemented say early Jan - then all recent cars may be Ok. Lots of unknowns in my view.
It could be as simple as one lot of one part that came up defective which could be just a few hundred and not necessarily a design flaw. It happens.

Several hundred could be thousands. We don't how many. We don't know what the problem is. We don't know how serious it is.

We just know that Ford isn't telling us anything beyond a PR blurb of a quality check.

I want a car put together but I also want a company that can at least be upfront with their customers. Tesla is worse but I expect much better behavior from Ford. Yes I know Covid is an issue but this is not Covid related.

Ford has done an amazing job at being about to get factories up and running but they really have FAILED at communication. This is just another communication failure. In the absence of actual explanations, speculation will run wild like it has already on this forum.

That's my guess/assumption. I see a lot of FCTP units having gone to Speedway now.
Speedway at least has a lot of locations with decent convenience stores so we can get a coffee or soft drink while we wait.

wait wait wait sorry I misunderstood what was going on here. never mind.

Well damn this is really grim news to hear. I’ve read all of the previous entries so far on this thread, and am very concerned for us all. My last email from them stated a build week for my car of of 1/11/21 basically right now. Those who ordered FE models must be supremely angry.
I did NOT receive an email from Ford today as many apparently did.

I am posting to this because I find it extremely ironic that a salesman from the local dealer I ordered from called me this evening.
I didn’t answer (crap!!) as the number he called me from wasn’t one I recognized. As in a completely different area code. Weird, why don’t they call you from the dealership ”line”?
Anyways —his message word for word was “sorry your car still isn’t here yet, but it’s definitely still inbound.“.
I’ll be calling him back tomorrow and post whatever update I can provide. ?
Mine was supposed to be built this week too, but it still shows in production and I haven't received any notifications or updates either.
