My widget stopped working properly too and it looks like my Ford account has been disabled as I can’t get into the website anymore. Someone else on here said their account was blocked due to unauthorised third party access. I’ve deleted the widget for now until my account is working again.

I was recently locked out of my FordPass account for using HomeBridge third party API. For customer support reenabled my acces but said if I reenabled HomeBridge, I would get a lifetime ban from FordPass. ? seems excessive. But they were very clear…violate the TOS and you’re out. Yikes!

I don’t think I’ll bother with the widget again, I’ve not missed it, mostly as we don’t get hardly any OTA updates in the UK. BUT, my energy supplier relies on a connection to the API to control charging when it’s best for the grid and is cheaper, so that needs to work still.

The large is very unpredictable currently. If it doesn't work for you then avoid it for now. I will continue to see if I can find the cause.

Hi. Recently widget have error msg. Deleted and reinstalled. Same error. No issues logging into my ford account nor accessing mme via Fordpass app. Thx

Looks like Ford initiated another wave of lockouts or blocking here in the ongoing polling crackdown. They've been targeting specific apps or services over the past few months.

I strongly recommend anybody polling the vehicle status limit it to 2-3 times per day.

Reminder: giving your FordPass password to a 3rd party app is considered a violation of the terms of service. This includes utility-controlled charging. Ford will have a new paid API soon (early 2023?) that will use secure access methods.

My account is now been locked for more than 2 weeks, 16 days since I noticed, think it’s been locked long before. Ford have so far failed for 16 days to unlock the account and cannot provide a timescale for when they will have it fixed.

My account was locked for some unknown time before I realized it. Once I called FordPass about it, it took about three weeks to get it unlocked. Seems the bottleneck is FordPass can't see why it's locked so they have to get an explanation from IT Security <sarcasm> which only responds to e-mail/voicemail on alternate Tuesdays </sarcasm>.

Many months ago I found a FordPass widget while searching for some Ford pass API stuff.
I've completely refactored the entire script and turned it into an alternative control to FordPass.

The Android app is still working, so i don't think the problem is an API change.

Edit: or I should say, not an issue with FordPass.
