I just realize I no longer has the “Manage charging” option

How do I change my desired charge level? We can only change it from the car now?
That's odd. It's still there for me. Samsung Android.

I've got a phantom unread message in mine that just won't go away. There is always at least a red "1" indicator there telling me there's an unread message, but there really isn't an unread message. Weird, but I'm just used to it after a few months.
Same here. Drives me crazy, especially since I have been coding professionally for 41 years.
Where is their QA? FordPass is the buggiest software I have ever used, and I have used some pretty horrible stuff in the past!

I took a trip to LA over the weekend and pretty much had no use of FordPass (iOS) due to the crash at launch bug. Even after reinstalling the app and resetting all PaaK keys, I would eventually get stuck again.

I'm still on Power Up 1.4 and thus no 1.6 yet. My car was the "Ford Edge Mach-E", so I never truly know if my car is slated for updates.

Now that I'm able to use 3.28.0, I'm finding a lot more sloppy work. Bad text phrasing, UI layout that any designer would have a fit with. And the "partial response received" alert. There's no care in making a rewarding brand experience with this app. Or even something usable.

I grew up with @Ford Motor Company as my father worked for Ford for all of my life (and then some) before retirement. I look at this work and want it to be better, but resigned that there are enough company culture restrictions that prevent the success from talented team members. Resulting in the less than professional customer experience with the brand. The prosperity I have in my life is in no small part due to Ford, but I don't feel welcomed to contribute back to the company.

Update: looks like PaaK requires location services.
"Location Services" on iOS is a term not only for GPS style location, but the near-field location tech. Tech that's requires for PaaK to know that you're located near the vehicle. You are granting (or denying) permission to your phone's location regardless of what tech is being used to obtain the location.

You might have just missed it in all the useless clutter? Here are the steps:
1. Open App
2. You can’t manage charging from the Home Screen. You have to toggle over to the Vehicle Page by tapping the little car icon on the bottom bar
3. Next look for three little “tabs” that don’t even remotely look like tabs about midway down the screen labeled “Your Vehicle” “Manage EV” “Service & Support”. Tap Manage EV.
4. Next tap on “Manage Charging” and then “Setup Preferred Charge Times” and then the location you want to change the time and max charge settings for. OR you can save one tap from the “Manage EV” tab by instead tapping on “Charge Times” which takes you to the “Setup Preferred Charge Times” page. ZOMG this is hurting my head the design is so duplicative and messy and disorganized.

Here is what Ford should do: First, ditch the MME picture on the Home Screen. They’re wasting a 1/3 of the screen on a picture! Of a car we already know we are driving!! Once you ditch that, you would easily have room for all the following essential features, without even having to scroll:
  • Charge Status
  • Buttons for basic controls (start, lock/unlock, windows, rear hatch)
  • A Button that leads to charge and departure management
  • A Button that leads to locating chargers
  • Popup banners for active charging, active problems, and status changes (going from lock to unlock, etc.)
  • Shove everything else into a "Glove Box" on a different screen and call it good
That’s it! That’s all they would would have to do to give us a clean, simple, intuitive app with all the truly necessary functionality within one or two taps.

Don't be so sure about the Power Ups. I've had 1.6 for over a week, then 1.4 showed up yesterday. I also got an unnamed OTA the day I picked up my car. ?‍♂

You can set a schedule for times when you definitely want to know if the car has been accessed. That's what I did. Of course, it is pointless if you are concerned about someone accessing the car when running an errand.
It'd be fine if it sent the notification within a few seconds, but it sometimes takes 5 minutes or so, at which point it's not worth a lot of someone has opened your door that isn't you.

Same issue here that started either today or sometime mid-day yesterday. Deleting the app worked, but I haven't re-set up PaaK. I was exclusively using PaaK before. I'm on Power Up 1.6 and 3.28.0, iOS.

The section EV Data, is that new to 3.28? It doesn’t seem to show anything in there just yet.

So, are the My Journey logs working again?

I now see both a Charge to 100% button, and a Charge Now button.

For those who experience phantom messages, I managed to clear them using the (separately available) "FP Pro" app. I installed via the play store and used the same credentials as the regular FP app. And what do you know, 2 'new' messages appeared that I was able to delete. Once synced (I had to wait for a new message in the regular FP) my 2 phantom messages were gone.

Must be only available in Europe. I can't find it in the Play Store.

I'm on Power Up 1.6 and 3.28.0, iOS.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly certain 1.4.0 and 1.6.0 OTAs are mutually exclusive. Many have received 1.4.0 after 1.6.0. I wouldn’t not consider OTAs as full OS versions that were used to. Thus the non-linear versioning.

I am not sure if anyone noticed, but my PAAK is working better after this last update. Those who have given up on it may want to try it again after this last FordPass Update.
