I got 1.6 last week then 1.4 a few days ago it mentioned SecuriAlert but didn't work or activate and today for some reason SecuriAlert started to work and show up. Maybe something additional go installed last night. Seems odd this feature started to work days after 1.4 was installed.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly certain 1.4.0 and 1.6.0 OTAs are mutually exclusive. Many have received 1.4.0 after 1.6.0. I wouldn’t not consider OTAs as full OS versions that were used to. Thus the non-linear versioning.
I received 1.4 and then 1.6 a week or two later

Yup, Plus one - I have had 2 "phantom" messages for weeks now. And I have lost the live data charge screen, and I have lost the "charge log" function (it worked the first 3 charges) - FordPass needs some serious work!

I will start by saying I LOVE my MME. But, the FordPass app is the hottest garbage I’ve ever seen. It’s almost impressive how bad it is. I’ve never seen an app like it.
It hasn’t recorded a single trip in My Journeys. It occasionally records a charging session, but rarely captures the data correctly. I have lost the ability to set the max charge level. That’s just the things I can think of right now.
I have no idea how stuff suddenly appears, then disappears, then sometimes reappears over the course of several days. Stuff like that shouldn’t even be able to happen without an actual app update.

what bothers me equally is the silence from Ford. I understand we’re in a bit of an echo chamber in this forum, but they should really communicate / acknowledge something. It not only will help them long term, but will keep their current customers happy. We all know there are competitors coming out of the woodwork (both new and old) and this type of stuff is what is going to make or break people’s decisions on their first or next EV.

Unlike some, I have practically no allegiance to Ford and I’m not sure I would buy another Ford EV based on my SOFTWARE experience. I love the car and will keep it, but competitors are going to eat them up.

I would tolerate so much more if they just acknowledged issues and were proactively (let alone reactively) communicating.

... pretty much had no use of FordPass (iOS) due to the crash at launch bug. Even after reinstalling the app and resetting all PaaK keys, I would eventually get stuck again.
I am using the app on Android, and I have had "crash at launch" for several versions now... (I'm currently on 3.28.0, but have notice the behavior I'll describe below for as least the past 3 months) here are some things I've discovered, not sure if they are also true for you on iOS

Also @Ford Motor Company - please note my experience in case it is helpful to improve things...

The state of Bluetooth at time of launch is a factor in the crash...

With Bluetooth Enabled...
1. I have 2 vehicles configured - when I have the app set to load with my non-Mach-E, the app does not crash at launch. When I switch to my Mach-E, the app crashes.
2. When I have the app set to load my Mach-E, the app crashes at launch.

With Bluetooth Disabled...
1. If I launch the app set to load my non-Mach-E while Bluetooth is disabled, the app will load and Bluetooth remains disabled. If I then manually enable Bluetooth after the app has been launched - the app will stay running, but then when I switch from my non-Mach-E to my Mach-E it will also crash.
2. If I launch the app set to load my Mach-E while Bluetooth is disabled, the act of launching the app also re-enables Bluetooth. In this sequence, the app stays running and eventually the Home screen will show "Bluetooth Connected" below the Start button.

Hope this helps someone working on the app to narrow things down.

Today was another terrible day with PaaK. How can I unlock with PaaK and seconds later can't start - "No Key Found". WTF

So tired of Paak and all these minor software issues. FORD stop rolling out new features and fix the ones that don't work. Too many bugs with a car that is almost a year old publicly.

I will be following up with my dealer tomorrow to check on a complimentary second fob.

OK - Thanks. Yes, I have the same issues with FordPass. The app won't show me charging details when the car is plugged in, I used to have choices in the app to "stop charge" and "charge to 100%" (from the phone). I also used to have charge logs in the app (the first 3 charges) - that no longer works. I almost always charge Level 2 at home. I will try your "reset" procedure - and get back to you. Thanks.

Something else I noticed with this new version on Android. If you close the PaaK background process by clicking cancel (twice) from the notification, it closes. However after and hour or more the PaaK process randomly starts on its own with no intervention from me. I also never opened up the Fordpass app which would start the service again. I thought I was crazy when it happened before, but it happened again while I was at work today.

The odd part is, when I start the Fordpass app, I can see when the service is started in the running processes on Android. When I close it from the notification I can verify that is did close. I'm just not sure what process is allowing the app to restart after it has been closed. Minor annoyance, but just be aware of this issue if you're an Android user.

My FordPass app won’t even open anymore. It was working fine until last night. Now it just shows the white screen with blue oval and then crashes and closes. I don’t want to uninstall and reload it as I’m away from home and won’t be able to set Paak back up. Hopefully Paak at least works when I get back to the airport.
