Forscan and future updates

Hi everyone. New member here.
I have a 22GT. A couple of months ago I used Forscan to turn off the double honk and enable the hands free liftgate.

I haven’t seen an update since Nov. when 3.6.1 was installed.
I’m just wondering if playing with settings APIM would cause future updates from getting installed.

I know it is not the point of this thread, but I have been wanting to ask a question about the double honk. Long before I received my order I got the ODBLink in anticipation of needing to disable, however, in the 2 months since I've had the car I've only had the double honk twice - both times when locking the car (from the door panel if it matters) while leaving it running. Is that the only time everyone who is changing it in Forscan is trying to disable?

You don’t have to lock it. It will double honk any time you get out of the car with the fob (or PaaK) with the car still running.

I setup the schedule for updates and the next day I got 3.6.2. ??‍

Also the most annoying: when there is a momentary PaaK glitch and the car decides there is "no key detected" and your wife or child gets out of the car. The ridiculously loud double honk and recriminations ensue. ?

Good reason to disable it.

I just feel bad about it honking in front of my neighbor's house whenever I stop to get the mail; particularly late at night or early in the morning.

I've also got a 22 GT that's been stuck on 3.6.1 since Nov as well. I've used Forscan to enable the handsfree liftgate, but did not for the double honk....will be revisiting that adjustment. Especially since the F150 Lightning has this as an option in the UI and I immediately disabled it.

Did you not have a schedule for auto updates enabled before your message?

I've had my GT setup with auto updates since April 2022, I've been enrolled in EAP since Aug, and over the past month I have tried every combination or idea to kickstart the update process including disabling/enabling auto-updates with adjusted times, but I'm still on 3.6.1. I'm heavily considering investing in the equipment to do FDRS updates. The randomness of this process is mad.

I had auto update enabled, but not a schedule. The schedule could have been a coincidence. I suddenly have gotten a bunch of updates. I’m up to 4.1.2 now.

3.6.2 did need a schedule to apply since it locks the car out.

However, there was also some back-end issues causing updates to not go out, and that appears to be resolved with the flood of people getting 3.6.2 now.
