afaik the Select just does not have ambient lighting. I was able to show the AM radio tab and hands-free liftgate on the screen, but there still is none in the car.
That’s what I thought. Glad I got the hands free lift gate tho and tweak the splash screen to the GT.
Do you know if the ipc splash screen can be changed?

This is fun. If you turn the headlights off, they stay off at the next ignition cycle.

I had a 0, changed it to a 1.

Has anyone tried enabling the HD Radio station logos? I see this as a feature under the APIM module.

This is also fun...the Auto high beam ramp up that the later 22s and 23s have. Got it working on my early 22.

734-01-04 00BC 1612 <-have to change your value to match this, or you'll get a headlight system error.

Tried it out and it works perfect. I have no idea what it'll do on a '21. But you must have a higher trim with the LED Projectors, otherwise there isn't a headlamp control module (HCM).
I have a question about this. The second set of data at 734-01-04...I don't have that in my asbuilt at all on either my '21 MME or on my '22 Lightning...and in the spreadsheet itself it seems to refer to something that's not actually a value that can be set. So where did that "00BC 1612" info come from?

Secret sauce!
That was the secret sauce before a lot of these spreadsheets were published. I'd take entire as built configs and throw them in a text document, open it in Notepad++ and run a compare on them. It would highlight the differences and then it was just trial and error from there.

Understood. I just did the light ramp mod and while I was in there turned on the HD radio logos. While I've been using FORSCAN since 2012 (on my first F-150) and am comfortable with plucking digits out of Livin's spreadsheets I was scrolling through the APIM on the 'user friendly' version of the asbuilt and saw that and thought I'd give it a try.

There are lots of other options in the APIM that I kinda know about but didn't bother messing with. I've learned not to change too much too quickly in FORSCAN so that if something goes sideways you can figure out what you f'd up last and un'f it.

Two questions for the community:

1) Folding mirror delay: Does anyone know if there is a way have delay the folding mirrors by 30-60 seconds?

Before I drive, I typically open the trunk and when I do, the mirrors open up. That is fine. The issue is when I close the trunk the mirrors close immediately, then I walk to the drivers door to open the door then the mirrors open again. This seems like it will just wear out the mirror motors.

I would love it if the mirrors could just delay folding the mirrors closed for 30-60 seconds so I can get in the car the mirrors stay open, however, if I just went into the trunk and walked away, I am fine if they stay open for up to a minute before folding up.

2) Automatic Parking Brake: Does anyone know of a way that when I put the car in park, the parking brake can automatically set? I rented a Toyota Corolla last week on a business trip and when I put the car in park-the brake set. This seems like a no-brainer. Perhaps it is a setting that one can choose, but I would want it to always set the parking brake to on when I am in park.

Auto parking brake does occur automatically on an incline like my driveway which is convenient but love to have it always operate.

Any other changes worth making? I’ve done mirror reverse, temp on IPC, headlight ramping, and disable auto honk.

First run connecting FORScan today. How unusual is it to have a module with a VIN that doesn't match the cars?

Say what now? I don't think that's supposed to happen. Which module is it?

Well I did double-honk a while ago. does mirror reverse work as expected? I haven't tried that.

I have to say I'm kindof intrigued at some of the APIM stuff on the "easy" menu driven asbuilt. Like Lane Biasing (disabled) and other stuff you would think would go along with BC 1.2. But these changes must have other changes required in places like the IPMA as well.
