So I've been getting Front Camera errors every so often on startup recently.

Sounds like the Ford hotline has some ideas on what to diagnose? Have you folks been waiting until you have failure of these systems while driving, or taking it in without the fault showing at the time? Are there DTC codes thrown that the dealer can verify to diagnose and fix?

I'm not looking forward to this, and deciding whether to wait until this becomes more of a problem than it is now before dealing with the hassle.
I think they may have found a fix. It’s been over 3 weeks and I haven’t gotten a fault since I’ve had it back. They replaced to cables to the camera. This is the longest I’ve been without the fault so I’m optimistic

Thanks. And did you need to have this fail for your dealer before they believed you and dug in for a fix?

Yea lol. Mine completely failed. This was the 4th attempt. The dealership got guidance from the engineers to replace the cables. They had already replaced the camera, modules, tried recalibration, and updating. It was gone for a total of 3 months

Yeah, I don't want to discourage you, but you should probably be prepared to have to leave it there for several weeks, or take it back 3 - 4 times. It also might help if you FIRST open a case with the Ford BEV team, THEN schedule the dealership visit. I don't know if that will help, but it's something that has seemed to help some of the people who have been suffering with the Front Camera Fault lately.

Last, you should submit a report to NHTSA, it's fast, easy, and might help to give Ford the kick-in-the-pants they need to fully and finally fix this clearly ever-growing issue.

I want to offer my endorsement to the advice from Tanwin and SteelRider.
Be prepared for multiple visits, be prepared for the service dept to have your car for quite awhile each time. Save your gas receipts and keep them organized for your backup car while the dealership has the car. Contact the BEV Team at Ford Motor Company promptly and open a case. They have reimbursed me for gasoline used in my truck for the entire time the dealership has had my car. For me, this was preferable to driving a rental. Ford does seem to be getting on top of this, and it could be that your situation will be rectified more quickly and smoothly. Good luck.

It's just doing this in my garage right now every so often. I assume it's gonna progress to what's happened to other folks here.

I don't think I am going to go through this for 3-4 months.

i thought the same...let it go on for a couple of months until i spoke with a ford rep who told me its only going to get worse and to take it in asap. it did begin to get worse, popping up every minute or so, deactivating my bluecruise and blew out on of my speakers due to the loud static it started to cause. It finally came on permanently, as soon as i start the car. this is the 3rd time ive taken it in to be fixed and have started the buyback process in case they still can't find a resolution. dont let it linger, take it in and let them fix it now. everyhting he said right here....

One caveat to all that is a LOT has been learned in the time you all have been going to dealers. Not saying it will be a cake walk but also hopefully won't be months
Okay! Crossing my fingers here.

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

Totally agree ? here! It's not going to be easy troubleshooting, but very good Ford EV techs are working out the faults along with competent hotline assistance! So far, after a few hundred miles, big smiles and severely happy grins in my GT again! No further issues whatsoever at this time! Never give up.

You may well be right. But really, after all this time and so many affected cars, it SHOULD be easy. The issue should have been solved, and those no doubt highly skilled and dedicated technicians should have produced simple checklists for diagnosis and repair. If that's still not done, something is terribly wrong.

I'm glad I've never had this issue, and sympathize with those who have. It sounds very frustrating.

I’m on my second Mach-E (went from a new 2021 Select to a new 2022 CA Route 1) and this appeared today.
Second time in two week. I’ve got around 2200 miles on the car and in my second month of ownership. ?
I think I have to take it in for service this week to start the clock on recording when this issue started….

Uhh, I would start out by simply cleaning the windshield and front grill thoroughly as this msg is not what we all see with FC/ACC Not Avail faults.
