I removed the black cover and the problem went away. I have not received the error codes since. I believe the heat and the cover are forcing the wire to bend or touch something it shouldn't be. The dealership blamed my after market wires for my front dash camera as the issue when I took it in 6 months ago.
Mine is at the dealer right now for the same issue and they are blaming the wires from my dash cam. I was curious if anyone else had the issue. I don't think the wires are even near the coax cable for the camera.

They're also telling me my aftermarket accessories are to blame for the 12v issues / errors I'm getting. I noted that my dashcam goes on and off with the ignition, but they don't seem to care. If they have an excuse to stop trouble-shooting they will use it apparently.

Popping the trim piece off was simple... Padded with foam and we'll see. Quite a few hot days left here so I'll try and report back. Decided to do this simple solution since more handling would be done at dealer...
Just adding to the data points... After daily errors on hot days (over 108F or so) and after my previous post we have had zero errors... I'd say that includes at least 5 days over 110F. So far so good!

This issue is beyond annoying! I got this issue when my car had 37k miles. I set up a service appointment with the dealer to fix this, which they confirmed. A week later they CANCELED my appointment, and said they would call me back when they had availability. They never called me back, so I tried again! They said they were too busy to work on this type of issue for at least another month. Tried a different Ford dealer, but, by the time I took it into this other dealer, they said the visit/repair NOT be covered under warranty because the car was at 38k miles. Crooks! It’s because of their lack of follow through that this issue was not at the warranty deadline! Can’t wait to get rid of this car and tell other to avoid it!

Your car was out of warranty when you first started having issues… the warranty is 36,000 miles.

I had this issue almost daily. Thanks to this thread, I popped the cover and inspected the cable. It was actually running the correct way but I moved it around and adjusted it slightly better. No issues since. I'm close to 20K miles since I did this. Probably more.

I do believe the windshield reseal is what caused the issue.

well, my fault is back and seems to be permanently on. i did the loosening 'fix' a while back. i will try the 'fix' again and see how it goes.

Will report back.

For those that have done the dealership TSB, have y'alls returned? My mach-e is due for a dealership trip anyway. so, just curious.

FWIW the problem is the coax cable for the front camera. Theres an ssm for it now. Your dealer needs to replace it
I've been waiting for over 2 months for my dealership to get the coaxial cable. So far, nothing. Does anyone know why it's taking so long for these cables to arrive?

Oh god, I just dropped mine off today for the third time. I hope they ramp up cable production ?

ETA: Got my car back after 5 days and they ordered “parts”). Hopefully fourth visit solves this once and for all.

ETAA: “The parts” (an IPMA) arrived at the dealer 24 hours after I picked up my car wtf! Now I have to take it back next week (35 minute drive each way).

ETAAA: Repair attempt 4 failed, now in the shop for repair attempt #5. Coax ordered.

My 21 rt 1 has been in the shop 5 for this issue since Oct 21. Never fixed, so I decided to a buy back after BEV team recommended it. Got denied and you can see the reason in screenshot. They gave me a case number but never did anything and then I complained again and got a new case number. I've emailed, tweeted and DM Ford and still no resolution for the fix. The dealership still has no ETA for the cable and I haven't been able to use bluecruise that I paid for or anything pre collision related. So I just put my clown mask on as I drive to work.

you may or may not need a new cable.
try popping off the cover above rear-view (5 clips)
wiggle, push push pull and rotate the camera mini-coax cable around and leave it in a position with a little slack at the connection to reduce strain.... and it may be 'fixed'.

I have a 2021 premium mach e with the same issues, front camera fault and pre-collision assist not available. It has been to the dealer once who replaced the front camera. The problem came back. It seems to happen when I go over bumps in the road. It resets after 2 or 3 minutes. I will bring it back to the dealer and ask them to check on the coaxial cable. Thanks.

the mini-coax connector is very sensitive to strain.... simply roating it to a position where the cable is not kinked may solve your problem without time wasted at the dealership.

It's literally 5 minutes to pop the cover, wiggle/rotate the cable, and pop the cover back on.

Would it be possible for you to post some photos of where this cable is located at?

This would be great for everyone here on this tread.

I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to working on cars. If you (or someone else) can post some photos or video to how this can be done, that would be great.
