So, Reddit has some folks seeing what I’ve seen related to this post (2021 LR). I had a power bill that was well more than double I had ever seen a couple of months last year, and I finally saw this when I woke up. According to Reddit, some non-ford chargers (Grizzl-E is what I and one other victim used) were seeing massive energy draws with little to no charging. The fans/pumps stay on even though no charging is happening (that is on Reddit, I don’t believe I have caught mine doing that yet…seems like the fans come on when charging/preconditioning). I am in cold Colorado, but I also do not believe that the above power draw could be possible for cabin preconditioning over that period of time. That is over 10x my home usage just going to this charger for the time period.

I didn’t see a fix on Reddit, does anyone have an answer from Ford?

Simple - Bug in reporting in the FordPass app. The extended range battery is 91kWh capacity. You can't add more than that to the battery.

Yeah, mine hit 159kwH yesterday, now 345.6, lol. Charger had a different opinion (19.9 kWh) plus a few 2kWh "keep warm" sessions.''

Edit: up to 646.9 kWh in FordPass, haven't driven in 72 hours. Since our temps have been 30F or above, no more charge reported by the Emporia in the past day and a half.

Have an emporia charger, and I use the app to view my useage/cost ea charge on the app.
Actual used power is dirt cheap compared to gas.
300km at 90%, and from 15% costs $4.20. My 5.0 Mustang cost ~$100 for a tank, at close to 600km when full. So $8 vs $100 for gas.

I pay my power bill monthly on equal billing, and based on last years useage, they adjusted this year's bill an extra $20/month. Looking at my charger's app, typically I don't use this much for topping up the MME, so should get a small rebate come spring.

Of course dependent on how much you drive, as I only 'fill up' every week and a half in normal use.
