I hope you are right. I’m praying all the folks that are involved in building my car had a good nights sleep and a banana before work.?
I got so paranoid from reading about 12v battery issues that I got a Innova 3721 battery checker. So far I haven’t seen the level drop below 12.4 volts. I have been using it more to check the battery in my Truck which I have seen go as low as 11.4v but it still cranked up!

I know, I know. Nervous Nelly here. You and @generaltso are right.
When I was putting together my shopping list, as I do with all my new cars, I built an entire spare 12v battery kit including an isolator, marine grade transfer switch, etc. It's still sitting in my shopping cart because the statistics don't support the need... But at the time it was something I was worrying about too.

I ordered through Galpin Ford in SoCal. Don't recall if I called Montebello Ford, but I do recall a lot of dealers saying they would't honor MSRP back in October/November time frame. I hope what you went through is not universal.

WTH are you talking about, this is why I’m nervous. (Isolator, switch what) Please be quiet now. ā¤?

Well remember this....In my 45 years of purchasing vehicles I have never met a dealership that was honest and did not suck. Not just Ford dealers, all of them are crooks and will try every trick and tell every lie to get a extra buck. In my opinion, hell is populated by car sales managers.....and lawyers of course....lol

I did a test drive at this same dealership. Terrible experience. They wouldn't even provide a bottle of water until you ask for it. The salesperson talking with me initially ran away right before the test drive just because he has some other stuff to do...

FYI their service department isn't any better. My son goes to school down there and his car needed service. Long story short they did everything incorrectly and have yet to get back to me about what still needs to be done to the car. I'm just going to get it done when he comes home for the summer at this point.

Ugh, here we go with the ā€œall dealers suckā€ chant again - so tedious and lazy. I had a great dealer and I think the majority of folks here would say theirs were at least decent to work with.

But I also followed Forum Rule #1 for Newbies when I joined last summer: Have your dealer put ā€œno admā€ in writing!

@Richcruz121 - It sounds like you actually got off easy compared to other folks here that didn’t get it in writing, had dealers that wouldn’t budge on adm, and then had to decide whether to pay or walk away. And the rest of your hassles seemed due more to incompetence and inattention, not malevolence.

Frustrating - hell yeah, especially the door ding that the dealer will obviously need to fix. But ā€œhorrificā€? Maybe that’s a California definition.

For my GTPE purchase I had to give a low rating on my survey and boy did that wake them up. They owed me money and didn’t cough it up until I torched them.
Awful experience and I’ll never buy a car from them again.

I know I’m not alone on this, but WOW!!
And not WOW in a good way, WOW in the worst kinda of way.
Ford of Montebello…
Ordered my Mach-E online in Sept-21 and purchased it April-20.
The sales manager tried to add a Dealer Mark up and tried to play the back and forth game of ā€œLet me see what i can doā€ā€¦ He finally came back and said. ā€œI was able to get you MSRPā€.. Uh, yeah like he did me a huge favor!
The car was missing the interior protection floor mats and they refused to loan me or provide any floor mats until a CS manager got involved.
The car was missing the CHARGER!
The car was missing the Flat tire kit!
The car came with a huge ding on the door.
They ordered the mats and the charger and the tire kit. The charger and tire kit came in but the charger was missing both 110 & 240 plugs as well as the bag.
They told me they would have to reorder.
The next day they called and said they’d give me one from another car.
When i got there (10 miles away) they changed their mind.
I didn’t get it until the same CS Manager got involved.
It just seems like they didn’t know how to sell this car and that the floor staff have no real concept of customer service.
In addition, everybody i interacted with said ā€œPlease don’t forget to give us 5 stars on the surveyā€ā€¦ ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
The only people that were AMAZING were the Finance lady Sandy and the CS Manager Josie. Everyone else seemed to not care about anything other than the survey.
That’s my rant…
The dumb asses sold someone else a car without a charger, tire repair, and charger, and then took yours to make the other purchaser happy. My guess is that someone stole these items from the demo (or they sold them) and they then played musical missing items with every MME they sold.
