When and if they are able to fix it, please post back for I tried to turn mine off and it reacted exactly like yours did, flick it off and it immediately turns itself back on. Job 1 premium extended range
Thanks Dutchman for bringing this thread to my attention , I can see I’m not the only one with this problem and will be following with you all as Mikeflash paves the way for a resolution to this problem and hopefully with software over a hardware fix.

It looks like there's a fix available. I spotted this attached TSB 24-2289 document on the NHTSA site.
Thanks Johnathan, I don’t know if the service dept where I took my car last week was aware of this if you know what I mean ? I will call to see if they are aware of the service bulletin etc, etc.

So I stopped by the Dealership this morning after taking a week to consider how to address this with the service manager. Let me say that I don’t trust the Dealership in the first place. It’s under new ownership and got bad vibes when I took the car in ( now out of warranty ). So I just happened to catch him in the customer waiting room . I introduced myself and told him I have a 2021 Mach e with the “ can’t turn off the traction control “ problem and that I had the car in 10 days ago and the service rep said there was no problem with the traction control system and that is was a My key or Valet problem, which it is not and that I had found ( on the NHTSA site )there was a fix for the problem. He then told me there is no way to fix that problem without getting Ford to give the OK. So asked him to call Ford but he then went off on some bazaar malsplaining how why would you want to turn off traction, and now I’m getting the feeling he wasn’t going to do anything about it and he said he wasn’t going to argue with me, so I left it at that and told him that I’ll find somewhere else to take and I left ( POed ). The other problem is I had already looked up other Ford dealers in the area and none of them had good reviews for the service departments on Yelp. Good reviews for sales but bad with service. So I guess I’ll have to call Ford myself and go from there. Any independent EV mechanics out there ?

If my car was out of warranty, and so I would be paying for the time/materials anyway, suddenly the cost of the tools to just fix it myself don't seem nearly as expensive.

Dealerships can invoice you for far more than the entry cost to FDRS in the blink of an eye.

Do they all have the button? I could swear it was only the GT, at least back in 2021-2022. Right?
2021 GT should have 2021 Premium/Select / CR1 job 1 cars don't have. This switch was added on Job 2 cars (I think)

My job 1 car has the switch….and the problem. I stopped in to my dealer service department and when he tried to pull up TSB 24-2289, it shows as “Rescinded.” They are going to try the updates on my car per the TSB anyway. We’ll see what happens.

Has anyone had any success since approximately November of 24 on getting their job 1cars updated to be able to turn off Traction Control yet? Just curious as I got a call from the Dealer and they are going to try some new programming today.

I got a call that apparently their was an OTA update to fix it, when I didn't get the update, I called back and asked what to do, and they said they would get back with me.

I took mine back in last week because they said they had a fix from Ford Engineering. It didn’t work either. I love my car but this is getting ridiculous that they can’t fix a software issue like this after three years of trying.

Update this week from my service department was engineering had something new they wanted to try.

That "something new" was turning on OTA updates.....

I've had them on since I got the car...

I hope @Ford Motor Company has someone really take a look into this, because yes, this has been a day 0 issue with the car.

What a damn dumpster fire. Stuff like this doesn't inspire confidence.
