How many times do you reset Sync 4? Daily? Constantly?

After the 3.1.x series and before the 4.1.x series? Almost every time I drove the car because the CarPlay implementation was a dumpster fire. A dumpster fire.

Since 4.1.x? Whenever the profile bug makes an appearance. That works out to about once a month or so.

I use PAAK 100% of the time and have for nearly two years. Have to reset Sync once every 2-3 months when AA wireless fails. Simple reset solves it. Can do it while driving by just holding the advance track button and volume down button on the steering wheel at the same time for 5 or 10 seconds. Takes a few seconds to reset and then wireless AA connects.

I've reset twice this year, 100% PaaK user too. First time was for profile bug. Second time was for drive mode unavailable.

I'd say between the two Mach-E's I've had I've probably reset on average every 2-2.5 months.

I have to reset mine a few times a week. I'd say maybe 5 times a week. For different reasons but the biggest cause is after fast charging at an EA station using plug and charge. I get back into the car and carplay just wont connect.

If they just would have been more honest and not upsold this as a tech-forward car I wouldn't be so mad. I don't even know what to say at this point.

I never had to reboot sync. In two years I lost car play connection twice.
I would try deleting your profile and adding a new one.

I’ve maybe had to reset it once or twice in 10 months of ownership. . I’ve had the profile bug happen maybe two or three times.

I'm sorry but I dont even really know how to do that. I use android auto all the time 99% of the time fine, occationally phone doesn't connect through wifi not sure if that is phone or car though.

There was one time like the video in the thread where the screen was unresponsive actually for me stayed black. Think I basically turned the car off then back on.

About 9 months and 13k miles in. Sometimes I read a thread like this and worry I'll have problems in the future though.

It is much better with 4.1.x.

3.1.x was truly a dumpster fire as far as wireless CarPlay.

4.1.x is a dream. CarPlay works as it should. The profile bug is rare.

The only time I don’t reset on a daily basis is when I don’t drive the car . It’s that simple.

edit: I only use PAAK and still on my original 12V battery after 12k miles and almost 1 year

Ty for that. We have played that game with Ford engineering deleting the profile and PAAK 12 times in two different sessions once. Even removing the app from the phone and starting over. It was when they were trying to get the driver side antenna to work.
