I just picked up my '23 GTPE last night. I put about 15 miles on it getting home and that was it. Today I had to run some errands so I am up to about 125 miles on the car in total. I figured I should try charging it a bit before I drive the 60 miles to work tomorrow morning, so I wiped out the handy Ford portable charger that came with it. Yes, I'm charging on 120V so I know it's a trickle charge (my L2 is sitting in the garage to be installed shortly), but I am wondering if the loud hum that the car is emitting while charging is normal?
Obviously, at 125 miles, I have not tried using any other charger and I have never been around an EV before, so I don't know if this is normal. I ran a quick search, but didn't find any other threads on this in my 30 sec of research. Figured it's quicker and easier if someone can just say "yes, they always make noise when charging" or "no, they should be silent when charging"....
thanks!
