Yes, the car is very quiet. That’s part of why I like the propulsion sounds. Otherwise it’s would be way too easy to get into speed trouble unintentionally. I’ll leave my speed trouble for when I’m enjoying it.
Pretty much all EV's are like that: so quiet you can't rely on engine noise to know how fast you're going. Something you get used to; an occasional glance at the speedo cures that (and heavy useage of cruise control).

You'll still get some highway noise at high speed, however--I'm sure it will be less in the Mach-E than it is in my Bolt.

And why they also have speed warnings that you can set.

I'm just hoping my visit in Chantilly this Saturday has ride alongs. I know I'll be asking.
I think I recall Zach saying he would be at the shows today and tomorrow but not sure.

Actually, 3.1 miles/kWh on a AWD ER is good news. That's right on par (270 / 88 = 3.07).

But then there's an apparent disconnect in the charging screen, where it says it's at 100% with 239 miles of range.

Those 2 things don't add up.
Just to clarify something in case I didn't already, the screen showing 100% charge with 239 miles of range was one of the stationary demos. The 3.1 mi/kWh was from the regional office's demo car they are driving to events and using for ride-alongs. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Hopefully better than a Model 3 at least.

Everyone,

We just got back from the Ted Britt Fairfax event and heres a few notes:

In talking with Zakk, there wont be any test rides at Fairfax or Chantilly. Sorry......

In terms of the cars:

Black looked great! we spent some time with this one. Exterior lines and features really look good when you are up close and personal (compared to DC auto show).

As previously mentioned both front and back seats are very comfortable. It was almost too easy to be comfortable. And 2nd row is suprisingly roomy. Front seat all the way back and I still had room in back.

The touch screen was very responsive to touch/drag/knob usage. Plenty of options. While we were in the black car, the icon was white on screen. Not sure if thats a fix or feature.

While the frunk divider looks like it can be handy in some cases, a wide open space is also handy. Maybe the divider as an add-on option will be a great addition.

Doors were also easy to operate both open and close.

Music sounded good. I did forget to bring my usb mix tape so I couldn't try that. 2 usb front and back as well as a few well placed 12v outlets to help in charging.

Rear cargo cover is stored nicely under the rear floor.

Thanks to Zakk for the swag!!!

Will take more pics and test that usb mix tape saturday in Chantilly.

Hope the acoustic glass in Premium and above trims help with that

I'm not letting my dealer drill those puppies!
I know we all hate dealers or whatever but I'm pretty sure none of them put holes into young dogs.

(voice in ear)

oh I see

Cripes, I’m going to need another type rating to operate this thing. That lever literally makes zero sense to me.
Practically same as my C-Max.

Move it away from you to use washer fluid on back window. Move it towards you to use washer fluid on windshield.

The toggle switch for the end is the back wiper, intermittent and constant on.

Move the lever up one notch for rain sense, move up again for low speed manual, move up again for high speed manual. Move the lever down for a quick wipe.

The dial in the middle is the sensitivity for the auto.
