Intermittent camera fault

I got the camera fault error every time I drove the car until I rotated the cable on the camera so it was not placing stress on the connector. Errors gone and have never returned (knocks on wood). I posted my fix on the original thread about this a couple years ago.

my first 'fix' lasted almost two years, but last time I went over a cattle guard at speed, I got a blink... so I might have to do again, but it has not returned.

I do not have many concrete highways w seams in my area.... just crappy asphalt and a lot of dirt roads with cattle grates.

Just got my car back from the dealer. They changed everything, coaxial cables, camera module and the image processing module. (At least that’s what’s on the paperwork).
Working like new.

With as many DTC's as my IPMA throws I'd love to have a new unit.

They went through the steps outlined In the TSB. Changed the coaxial cables, still showed a fault, changed the front facing camera and tested, still showed a fault, then changed the image processor, fault cleared.

Is this something I could do myself? The cables and camera numbers listed in the TSB were actually pretty cheap. I priced the 3 cables and the camera from Lakeland and it came out to <$150.

Finally pulled my DTC and mine is the U3000-49, which is step 27 of the TSB. Use FDRS to flash it and if it still sucks then replace it. Damn. That will be a bit more expensive and I dont have FDRS.
