Inventory is accumulating

Putnam Ford in San Mateo, CA called me today to see if I was still in the market for a MachE.

They have 22 new ones in stock at MSRP.

Luckily I received mine last December 22.

I keep stalking Autotrader online. The amount of used inventory is piling up. People and Dealers are still trying to sell for MSRP plus the amount of tax the original buyer paid. A Used vehicle is Not subject to Provincial sales tax here in Canada. As far as I can see New MMEs are at MSRP, and many are abandoned orders, with a Green window sticker.

Yeah, I think we are going to see more of this. I hope things get tougher for dealerships, especially the ones who played funny business with their clients. I have what I need/wanted, I don’t want to go back to another dealership for the next two years.

The ‘21 Premium is a real nice car. That’s what I have and I’m very happy with it. Mine has the foot activated liftgate and parking assist, features not in the ‘22 & ‘23. What was the mileage and is it AWD and ER?

I paid $52k last month for mine, used 21. But the same dealer has sold a couple more all around that price. They have a GT for $54 and one for $57 that if I didn't know the suspension is .5 inches less travel I'd try to get them to swap me. The $54k is solid roof 21 ver very few options. Mine has pretty much everything the prem could have. And more bounce to the ounce that others.

The going ask around here is still $50's for Prem, high 50's to mid 70's for gt/gtpe. And AZ will pay it because we got money to burn I guess.

In other news my Tags were $695. I expected around $200 or less. Now I got to figure out what that's about. Our laws recently changed and because this was a Cali-> AZ car I probably got hosed because the dealer didn't swap title to AZ first.

The foot activated liftgate was eliminated, the park assist became a $350 credit and a “ready” kit. All due to chip shortage.

You didn’t say, is it SR or ER battery? My guess it’s SR. If you’re happy with the car, the $42k is a fair price.

if you didn’t get 2 keyfobs there’s a CSP for the 2nd one.

I have a 21 with the foot activated tailgate, but I can never get it to work. Any advice?

Kick straight. I looked like an idiot for 5 min waving my foot around under the thing like a Lexus. They want you to almost kick it and pull straight back.

Make sure it’s on in the settings. My PaaK and it’s Bluetooth was unreliable. I always carry the keyfob. If you kick under the license plate it should work.
