It usually has nothing to do with automation, and everything to do with a LAZY dealership. They KNOW that there are EVs, and choose to not setup a simple segmentation with 2 groups and 2 different messages. LAZY!

Must be amusing when an owner with a Mach-E actually does come in for the oil change. Now that enough people own them, and some folks are kinda clueless about their car, could happen.

I’m glad my dealership doesn’t do crap like this. The salesman who sold me my car sends emails / texts customized to me. Just got a happy birthday from him, almost three years after buying, and I’ve only been to the service department once for the door safety recall. He asks about every few months if I need anything. Super duper service!

I would play dumb, and see how far the dealer would take it.... would not be surprised at all if they felt they could get away with it, and charge a customer for it. 😟

Most dealerships have automated messages like that, and go out around your estimated time you'll hit those mileages. Probably trying to schedule an oil change because they just have it listed as mustang lol

I have had only the 10,000 mile service at Newberg Ford. Strangely I got an email and my ford app shows that I had service done at Damerow Ford in Beaverton even though I have never taken the car in there. The total for the service was $0.00 but if it happens again I'll contact them.
Maybe they typo'd the vin and it matched mine.
