L3 fast charging not working

Hello! I'm having an issue with fast charging, would appreciate any help.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021 AWD Long Range

Problem:

• L3 (DC) fast charging stopped working
• L2 (AC) charging works without any issues
• When connecting the DC charging cable, the cable locks in the port mechanically
• After the charging process starts, the indicator near the port doesn't turn blue, it simply goes off
• The charging station shows an error indicating the cable was not connected to the vehicle

Additional details:

• Two days ago I was still able to charge successfully on a road trip
• Yesterday the charging stopped working
• Tried several different DC stations, including one where I definitely charged before
• I checked the connector - it looks clean and without any foreign objects. The only thing is that one of the upper pins is shorter than the other.

Software version: SYNC 23095 / Revision 807

Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you solve it? Is this a software or hardware issue?

Please try again today, sometimes the vehicle just needs to be off for 15 minutes to recover after a charging fault. If you continue without a pause, it will keep faulting on every attempt until the car can go to sleep for 15 minutes.

If Mach-Lee's suggestions don't work, the whole charging port may have gone bad. I had the reverse of your problem with my 23 MME - it would charge on L3, but not L2. The dealership had to replace the port under warranty.

Hi. Thank you for your response.

I tried turning off the car between charging sessions - it didn't help.

Honestly, I didn't believe in cleaning the charging port because it looked quite clean visually.

Yesterday I quickly cleaned it and went to a station and the charging started.

Today I cleaned the port more thoroughly and went to another station and the charging successfully started again.

I don't know what helped, but it looks like the DC charging is working.
