I think it’s kind of odd for such an expensive car to not have a leather interior or something similar. I like the shape of the PE seats but the soft material doesn’t inspire confidence.

Has anyone spilled any liquids on them? How does it clean up?

Wondering if the owners who have more miles on their GT/PE can share how the seats are holding up.

I've owned cars and trucks with vinyl seats, cloth seats, leather seats, and my last one and current mach-e has the Active-X seats. I was actually happy to find out the mach-e has Axtive-X seats when I ordered it. My wife and I eat in the car quite often. She likes KFC and I like Burger King. We've had no problem keeping them like new.

Entry level BMW and Mercedes also come with some sort of fake leather now. Seems to be the thing. I wish it were real but after 14 months mine look brand new. As long as they stay that way I’m happy.

I threw some gyeon ceramic coating on them pretty quickly after we got ours, but mostly to keep them clean because we got the white seats. Not sure how the softness will hold up, but I feel like it’s the foam that will break down first.

My seats also look brand new, and I don't take care of them or clean them. Mine have the Miko.

I have the black Active-X. Only issue I had was trying to clean white sunscreen smudges last summer. Lol

I was at a car show and someone let their kid into my GT-PE. The kid had ice cream or something sticky on their hands. I didn’t notice until after I got home. It cleaned up fine with a cheap commercial auto upholstery cleaner that I bought many years ago from one of the major chain stores. ??

I've had the Miko (fake suede) and ActiveX (vinyl) seat materials in other Ford cars and never had a problem keeping them clean and looking new (I never eat in my cars). They have held up very well.

Use cups that require push to open to avoid spills. Car is not a restaurant, limit eating in it.

I know this is an old thread, but I just picked up my 2024 Mach-E GT, and I noticed it came with the Miko seats. My wife’s 2023 Premium Mach-E has the ActiveX seats, which have held up incredibly well over the past year and a half—they still look brand new! That’s been impressive to me, and I’m curious about how the Miko seats will compare in terms of durability.

I absolutely love the Miko seats in my GT. They feel premium and super comfortable, but I wonder if they might be more delicate or harder to maintain over time. I want to keep them looking as good as new, so I’m looking for advice from others who might have experience with them.

Specifically:

• Are you using any type of fabric guard or protectant on your Miko seats?

• I came across the Hydrothread Ceramic Fabric Protectant and Stain Repellent and was wondering if anyone has tried it or has opinions about it.

• Any cleaning or care tips to prevent wear and tear?

I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences or recommendations for keeping these seats in top shape. Thanks in advance for your help!

Have had the GTPE for just over 3 years. 45K miles and the seats look brand new. I vacuum them when I vacuum the carpet and have never used any chemicals to clean. Just a damp towel with hot water only. I had the same material on the seats on my Focus RS and GT500. I never eat inside my vehicles and don't let anyone else either. My top reason for buying the GTPE model was the seats. I am very used to Recaro seats and was a little upset to find they decided to go with Ford Performance seats which mimic Recaros but I feel they are really good for not being the real thing. Again, they are holding up perfectly and would not want to be in any other type of seat in this car.

My Premium driver's seat has developed a few cracks around the seat bolster edge - will be taking it in tomorrow to have a look. I'm right at two years old....

Sorry to hear that.. what color seat? Does the car get much sun? None of the should matter for 2 year old seats… they should still be perfect in my book.

They are charcoal gray, car basically sits in the shade. The ActiveX seats have been known for cracking between the perforations.
