On a recent trip to pick up Lith iron phosphate batteries, I stopped in to use some free charging. Found a lucid air charging and it wasn't doing as well....
Lucid, 350kW charger, 33m, 37.73 kWh delivered
Ford Mustang Mach-E Lucid Air at same DCFC.... 1674089747749

Vs MME charged to 84%, 40.6 kWh, 30m on the nose.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Lucid Air at same DCFC.... 1674089925832

70kw at 79% -- I got 36.4kWh in 24m, he took 33m to get 37.75kWh. Thought they were faster charging?

Seems like a terrible charger if you’re also pulling that low

I haven’t seen one on the road yet but it’s super underwhelming looks wise so I may have not even appreciated it!

Those speeds are fairly slow for both. But, that's fairly typical of units in states/provinces that charge by the minute. Personal experience is they throttle them down to make a bit more money.

Problem now with cars that pull 200+kwh is that the chargers themselves are crap. It’s a selling point for sure, but what if you cant ever get a charger to pull those speeds. Ive seen the Hyundai Porsche and others pulling at those high speeds before though

+39% to 80% in 24m. Started at 142 kw and tapered down in typical fashion. 50f temps.

I've seen a couple - one up close at a charger (charging wasn't going well for him either), and another in our neighborhood. IMHO, they are butt ugly (or as we used to say when I was growing up, fugly). Definitely not my jam, and let's not talk about their price!

I finally got to see one up close when hubby and I went to lunch the other day in the snootier town next to ours. It's freaking HUGE! And definitely agree with @JohnFoxeSheets that it is fugly... especially in the color scheme we saw. 🤮

Someone at my gym has a white one. It was different enough to be noticeable but didn't make me want one.

My boss has one, gorgeous inside and out. It definitely is capable of faster charging, likely an issue with that DCFC.

That's the color scheme I've seen too. I just to don't get it. The silver top just looks trashy to me.

Someone that works out at my gym with me and my trainer has a Lucid Air. I am completely underwhelmed by it (aside from the range and maybe a couple luxury features). I will gladly take my MME and my F-150 Lightning over the Lucid any day. I can't imagine driving something that big that rides so low, especially having to park it on the street in Chicago.
