This is for the dealer to complete that is selling us the vehicle, correct?
This is YOUR checklist. The dealer has one as well.

I’m not mocking the attention to detail. Really, I’m not. But it does make me grin imagining anybody showing up at the dealership with this list on a clipboard and methodically checking through each item.... Ideally first donning a pair of gloves and some goggles with those little mounted flashlights. Hopping down to check the tire pressure. Maybe bringing a torque wrench along for some random nut inspection.

I do fully expect to be returning to the dealer a couple of times in the first few months to work through issues, and I’m not sure any checklist is going to avoid that. Obviously I appreciate that it’s best to identify issues before you drive it off the lot. So again, not poking fun but this does make me smile.
I was glad I had put it together when I looked underneath and saw this:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E Delivery / Pickup Checklist IMG_6617

That said, I still haven't completely finished the list and some of it clearly takes more time that you can do at the dealership at pickup.

Can you briefly explain what this is, and how you might check it?
Is battery State of Charge at 100%?
I've edited it.

Also, the list is now a wiki so others can contribute.

No, this is for you to complete at delivery.
Or eventually. I don't expect I'll do all that at the dealer before taking delivery, and then waiting weeks/months longer if something small isn't right. Would be different if there were 10 on the lot to pick from, but there aren't.

But I will check that stuff at home and decide if I want to do a warranty claim. Unless of course it's a major problem. Couldn't drive it off the lot if it were a major problem.

Dealers have their own checklist and prep for the vehicle.
I will say that when we bought our daughter's HR-V, we did not 'check list' everything. When we got home, windshield washer had hose leak. Called dealer immediately. They said not covered because rodent chewed hose (on their lot). Buyer beware!

For sure. Just because they have a list doesn't mean it always gets followed.

Plus, they couldn't possibly check everything anyway. The plant is supposed to do most of that.

Here's a starting point on a checklist that I've been using on mine:

  • Check lights, turn signals, etc
  • Check headlight alignment
  • Charge port and charge status indicator
  • Check windshield washer fluid level(s)
  • Check windshield wipers and washers
  • Inspect mirrors
  • Fold and unfold mirrors, checking for noise
  • Check puddle lights
  • Check glass roof & margins

  • Check interior door panels
  • Check headliner
  • Check all interior lights
  • Check glove box
  • Raise and lower all windows a few times from driver controls
  • Raise and lower all windows from local controls
  • Insert and remove every seatbelt several times.
  • Check tire inflator kit age in infotainment screen
  • Turn on the music to check it works
  • Test Qi charger and USB ports
  • Test 12v outlets
  • Driver Display whine?
  • Is battery at 100% State of Charge?
  • Reset EV range and trip odometers
  • Check the center console is working in both dark and light modes
  • Check screen responsiveness
  • Reset the Sync4 (Volume down, right seek arrow, hold for 10 sec. why? just for fun?)

  • Test lane centering
  • Test hands off wheel warning
  • Test blind spot sensors

Personalization
  • Adjust the seats
  • Adjust the steering wheel stalk
  • Adjust the mirrors
  • Ensure phone as a key works right there
  • Ensure key fob works

Other
  • Check owner publications and keyless entry codes
  • Run through my financing spreadsheet, verifying each item
Very nice checklist for the dealer to use and they may have an even larger list or they may make the assumption for example, that all windows work. What is unclear to me is why this vehicle is so unique that buyers should perform this themselves before acceptance at the dealership or even after it is delivered. Most folks hardly read the owner’s manual or even use all of a car’s funtionality. Can you imagine the mess if all 15 million and then some vehicle buyers in the US each year did this in the dealer lots. How about when it is zero, raining, or 100 degrees. Would dealers need to put each new vehicle in their shop or showroom for the buyer to muddle through this checklist. 99.9999% of all car “stuff” works when delivered so it is ok for the buyer to check stuff in the weeks ahead and if a problem, contact the dealer. Oftentimes, they misunderstood the instructions.

Fully agreed, i always check the paint and windows and interior, everything else should be fixed even if i see it weeks later...

This also one of the main reasons i could not buy a Tesla, discussions over warrenty, no way.

@ChasingCoral thanks for the list?

This is the equivalent of having a full tank of gasoline in an ICEV (Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle).

Outstanding. Thanks
This is great CC and much thanks! I am somebody who checks everything before I accept a car. If PAAK or AA not working, I will leave it there until they fix it.
