Driver's side rear, so it forces most to back in for Tesla supercharging. We all know how bad some drivers can be.... I've always backed in to parking spots so no issue for me.
This gave me a slight pause when I was considering MME and Tesla, but in the end I will probably only use a supercharger a couple times a year. I also liked the fact that it's normalized, all Tesla's have the port in the same spot, all superchargers are the same cable lengths, etc..

I've seen a bunch of posts on here about funky EA, EVgo stations where there's no consistency, some cables don't reach, some you have to park funky to access because all of the other EVs have charging ports all over the place

The one thing I'm not sure how is going to work is when EV Trucks start coming out, both the Cyber Truck, F150, etc.. It doesn't seem like any fast charging station is setup to charge any vehicle pulling a trailer at least that I've seen

Because the car honks twice each time i forget it.... It's a royal pain. And I forget all the time as I'm also coming from a Tesla to Mach-e. The button is just nonsense, extra parts and extra programmed functionality that is just waste. (LEAN - get rid of it ASAP)
So, in your mind there is less programming involved in using a seat occupancy sensor and the brake pedal to turn the car on and off? Interesting.

For me, the number one issue with Tesla (at least 3/Y which are more comparable in price, with S, price is the show stopper) is the lack of dash. I'm legally blind in one eye and having to change focus that much to look at vitals like current speed is a no go. There are third party add-ons costing close to $1,000 to add it so it's not a 100% no-go, but count that as a at least a $2,000 delta (need installed, not an official Tesla add-on, etc...)

As I would like to configure, the Mach E has a slight price advantage (not counting $2k for lack of dash) given the $7500 tax. Without that, Tesla would have the advantage.

IMO, other pros/cons added together are not significant enough to significantly impact the decision as much as the two above even if they were all in favor other Tesla (which they are not).

Suspension/comfort might something I would look at closer if I had a chance to do it over (maybe in a few years for my wife's vehicle), and so far I haven't been in a Tesla enough to really know how suspension ride compares, only that I am a little disappointed in how much the Mach E feels the bumps.

The stock suspension on the Y is pretty bad, even with the base 19" wheels. I upgraded to an aftermarket system and the ride is considerably softer. The stock rear shocks are underdampened. Add in poor NVH in eliminating noise from the suspension through the subframe and the interior isn't as quiet as the competitors. That being said, I still love my car. The acceleration makes up for the shortcomings.

Well in the Mach-e you still have to push the brake ;-)

And it has seatbelt detection. Combine the two. No need for wiring and controller logic for the start button. An no need for the double honking feature. (that fails anyway. as paak fails and then the passenger leavs the car and behold honk honk....)

All I had to do was ask for it. My dealer has agreed to provide us with a Free Fob!
When did you ask? Most have reported the dealer/Ford refused to give them a second fob. If your request was very recent it gives some credence to the rumor that Ford will be providing second fobs moving forward. Otherwise you're just lucky. ?

Isn't there? When I rented the Mach E on Turo there's an option on the computer to turn off the honk when you walk away and it auto locks.

Unless you're referring to having the car turned on and walking away, every car has a notifcation of some kind but yeah Ford uses the horn. It does that on my Fusion too.

Which is a safety interlock feature. Tesla doesn't have it and is being sued for that, since its too easy to unintentionally start the vehicle and get it into gear.

No, Tesla requires tapping the brake, which also loads the driver profile if Easy Entry is used. You can't go directly into Drive, at least on the 3 and Y.

Yeah, just asked for it yesterday and got NO arguments from the Ford dealer!

No, that's wrong. Even on our old S we had to press the brake to get into Drive.
