Anybody else see this I their region? Huge cities with big markets for EVs excluded…
Out of curiosity, about 3 weeks ago I was looking for Mach-E inventory in and around Tampa and Jacksonville and none of the dealers had inventory and the ones that were coming in were customer orders.
That’s likely to change in the coming weeks.

Yes, my dealership try to make me pay 10k more on the MSRP price and I told them Nope. I can't do it, then they came back with 5k to the MSRP, and I told them I'm not buying the MME unless it's at the price it was at when I put my 500.00 deposit down in Sept.

They best get out the feather dusters. And man I bet GM can't get its $30ish thousand Equinox to market fast enough. Sure, not the same performance as many MME variants but the average consumer won't care when (if?) the Equinox beats the MME on price and charging speed. Range seems to be about the same.

Competition is good. Oh and let us not forget, Ford itself might eat some MME lunch with its newly announced $20ish crossover in March. Update: That vehicle only appears to be for the EU market ?
The fine print from GM says that the 30k Equinox will not be available until late 2024.

I gave up my GT order in Las Vegas and they are starting to pile up at dealerships here, especially GTs. Carmax and Carvana have a good selection too. Don't pay a cent over MSRP for a new one if you must. But definitely check out the slightly used market.

Overall I can't stand dealerships anymore, they are all shady and it's an extra layer of bereaucracy that is simply out-dated. I'm not a fan of Tesla, but I am a fan of direct sales.

I had never stepped foot on a Ford dealership before October and after my experience with them, I won't consider Ford for anything.
I've had my MME since March of last year, ordered it six months prior to that. I bought it at Ford Country in Henderson. I live in the Centennial area but went to Henderson because it was the only place I could find one on a lot in Vegas to just look at. I must say my experience with them has been nothing but positive. Perhaps ones experience is more unique to the salesman you happen to get, but my overall experience has been very good. I recently took it for the 10,000 mile service. Same thing, a great experience. I'm not trying to sell you on Ford Country, I have no dog in the hunt. Just saying my experience with Ford and my MME has been great. Good luck.

Yes on my order for the 2023 MME.

I don't know but I know I signed for everything for the MME last year and I didn't pay the markup price they were trying to give me.

I just called locally until someone said "No ADM on orders". Happened on the 3rd dealer. But that topic is a thing of the past.

All that is left for me is to decide between an inventory 2022 RWD Select C/T for '22 MSRP minus the $7500 credit OR my '23 Premium AWD for '23 MSRP minus the $6k PCO. Is a year newer, AWD, white cabin, and blue paint worth $13k...?

Yep. I learned about Ford’s worthless online “inventory” system that treats other peoples orders like inventory a year and a half ago when I started this journey. Since I learned about that, I have been using a combination of third-party websites like cars.com, autotrader, and even google to locate vehicle listings that reflect an actual car being sold. Then I call and give them the vin or description
. My comments about availability and price both 1.5 years ago and now reflect actual phone calls and price discussions about stickered vehicles on lots.

If you’re in a major city, widen your radius. In my case because I’m in the conservative South, I didn’t have to. (Although I’ll never understand my fellow rednecks being opposed to a car that goes 0-60 in less than 4 seconds or a truck that can power an entire job site for a day out of spite for environmentalists.)

As for the Equinox, that thing ain’t gonna be cheap. Every single maker from Tesla to Ford to all the rest announced their cars insanely cheap, but then that price only works for the first people off the waitlist and only for the basest of base models. It’s a PR move not a reflection of the real long term vehicle price.
Solar power plus electric vehicles are the path to be free from government opression too! Maybe that's the angle for the "fellow rednecks"... What do you think?

Per the Equinox price, we will see what the actual sales price is. I suspect we are re-entering the "sticker shock" era of the 1980's. Inflation is in the process of adding ~1/3 to the price of every car over 3 years.

If you can get the 22 at MSRP then do it. I am not sure if AWD makes that much of a difference for you in TX. Save that 13k and put it in the stock market.

We guarantee your car is worth the same as when you purchased it.

Just everything else is worth more!

The EX90 looks nice. Maybe something for her to consider.
We put down the $500 refundable deposit on an EX90. We’ll have until fall to decide. If we go through with it, we would be 100% BEV (excluding the old classics). I’m not sure if we’re ready for that or not.
