Mach-E Premium DMG color, tailgate misalignment and rear window seal issues

When I picked up my car, I was a little upset. I discovered some exterior issues. Here are some pictures:

It took two visits to the dealer and almost two weeks of waiting and finally, the tailgate was properly adjusted. The window seal they were not able to adjust and will replace it next week. Dealer promise it will take half of the day. I hope it's true.

And also ... The biggest issue in my opinion the tailgate color doesn't match the rest of the body color. Hey, Ford how is this possible ? I spoke with the serviceman about this, but they tell me I'm wrong and all is ok. The reason is body shape and light reflection. It's true in daylight it's nearly impossible to notice any difference but on garage light, I see the difference very well. Any suggestions or opinions about this situation. I tried to google but didn't find any case like this.

I've painted cars for 35 years and I have seen factory painted tailgates that don't match the quarters. Most of the time it's composite gates that are off from metal qtrs. and some colors are worse than others. In general plastic parts will have a different look. Bumpers, mirrors, moldings, and sometimes fuel doors and liftgates. Again some colors are worse than others.

If you press it you could probably get it repainted under warranty but that means de-trimming the rear end of your car including cutting out glass. Painting the gate and blending both quarters. It will probably look better than it does now but there still may be a slight difference. You'll have to decide which alternative you can live with. Having an eye for detail is both a blessing and a curse. Good luck my friend.

Are they sure your tailgate isn’t a Carbonized Gray part?

The tailgate is not metal and therefor the paint reacts differently to sun/light/Heat causing the color difference?? My tailgate is lighter than the main body color....

Are they sure your tailgate isn’t a Carbonized Gray part?

I think no because carb gray is much lighter. In my case, its looks like the difference in the color tones. Tailgate is more brown-green and the body is bluer.

From the pictures, the gate definitely looks like a different color. But that video makes me side with the dealer I think that it's just a matter of angles. I don't know. I can see how this would be frustrating and I have a DMG on the way and should be here soon. So I'll definitely keep an eye out on mine to see how it looks.

I'm curious how will looks your car, let me know, thanks. Also, I found car pictures on this forum that looks similar to mine, which was built nearly at the same time. My thoughts now or there is no issue at all and the dealer was right or there is a bigger problem on the production line.

Ford.com doesn't show anymore this information in the order details. But what I remember was scheduled production in mid-September, built and shipped in November, and delivered in December.

I was in a few body shops and spoke with different people and I came to the conclusion it is the unfortunate combination of factors when this difference can be visible. Body shape, paint color (especially Dark Matter Grey) and garage lighting result in the color difference. For sure I don't want to repaint the tailgate just to find the same result. Maybe in the future, Ford will come up with any solution, but at this time I'll live with this. Also, I noticed that DMG is not a usual color, from different angles with different light it can be more in dark blue tone or green. Sometimes brown or absolutely black. Oh, this color makes me crazy ?

I see it as clearly liftgate is different then rest of car and so like bumpers the colors hue differently. Next given the alignment issues, perhaps it sustained a quality control issue, was removed, straightened out and repainted. Second coat of multi-coat makes it a different tone.
