It’s normal for the coolant to get churned up while the pumps are running. It squirts out of the upper tube in the tank and hits the tank contents with velocity.
For a failed coolant pump, I would see SOBDM internal temps exceeding 80°C, coolant pump and radiator fan commanded high, but no activity in the coolant tank and temps will not come down. See this for desired operation:

The firewall tank is for the battery and heater. The passenger fender tank is the one that cools the charger, motors, and radiator. So you are interested in that one (the one that was low). If you listen close you should be able to hear the coolant pump running when the charger gets hot.
You might also try a 12V reset by removing the negative terminal (10 mm socket) for 10 minutes.
