Congrats! I think that combo of wheels and paint look great, will be interesting to see what's under the covers.

Lets see I have a bunch of work stuff to do today....grabs keyfob (my first attempt to use phone as key failed miserably so I'm batting 000).

Some early morning observations:
There clearly is some Focus Electric (and Fusion/C-Max Energi) DNA in the Mach-E from the "Its cold out, plug me in" message to how it handles charge locations.

Speaking of that "its cold outside" message: It will show that whenever you turn the car off in cold weather (I think its <32F). This morning it is a blamy 8F here outside and I could hear the car shivering (well ok some pumps were obviously running keeping the battery warm--its been plugged in all night outside).

As far as charge locations: Ford Pass seems to work identically to My Ford Mobile in this regard: You cannot setup charge times for a location that you haven't charged at. Thus it won't let you simply type in an address (even though the presetup implied that); you have to actually plug into a location before it shows up.

Ford Pass will keep a list of every place you've charged (hmm I wonder if that includes DCFC's--something else to try might have to keep a list) and when you press the "Add Location" buttion it will show that list (thus if you haven't charged yet it won't show anything--strangely enough the dealer wasn't listed; I wonder if they deleted themselves).

Note that you don't have to charge to full; simply wait a few after plugging in somewhere and it should show up on the list and likewise you can add a time to a location that you charged at days before.

Later when its a little brighter outside I'll grab the Nikon DSLR and post some photos.

Not sure how ambitious I'll be about removing the covers on the wheels but I'll get some good closeups of them for people.

So yeah: Its here ;)

I can't stress enough how cool this looks:

I picked it up around 5pm so really haven't had much time with it at all.

Initial impressions from driving it about 30 miles: (Keep in mind this is a CA Rt1 so ER RWD)
  • It drives like its heavy, but in a good way
  • Still fun to drive though
  • Connected to house WiFi (Orbi Acess Points and separate DHCP server) without issue
  • Haven't got connected services working yet (says a problem getting to CC in wallet)
  • Have phone as key setup but haven't tried it yet
  • Can't seem to find the card with the factory door code so can't set up any of that (will look in the daylight tomorrow before contacting dealer)
  • Ford Pass app connected to the car without issue (phone is that unicorn thingy called a Microsoft Duo)
  • Adaptive Cruise and lane keeping is cool (although I must have a really light touch because it kept nagging me to put my hand on the steering wheel)

Took it for a 20 mile ride down the freeway (10 miles out, turn around 10 miles back, reset trip meter after setting cruise control to 75). 18F temp outside, cruise set to 75 mph, heater set to 72F.

Hooray! I almost thought "who is that?" with the new avatar!

there are a lot of people on here that I bet would be happy if all dealers deleted themselves, everywhere.

Ok, geeking out achieved:
two things about the Sync 4a startup animation that I never noticed before:
  1. the "become a line that goes down into the volume knob" bit which is very nice and I hope someone got a bonus for
  2. the fact it shows a Ford oval and not a Mustang pony, which I hope someone lost a bonus for (but can and should be fixed OTA - the "real" Mustangs have a pony)

Congratulations @JamieGeek ! The car looks great with those dark aero covers on.
Question... is your EVSE mounted outside? Or do you run the cable under the garage door (or through a port)?

I have a few to choose from but one of them has a 25ft cable that I run under the door.

Hey look my cable porn fits
Ford Mustang Mach-E My obligatory "its here" thread - Route 1 2021-02-10 10.47.16

I can also confirm that the Android Auto automatic phone rebooting tool (e.g. plug your phone into the car via USB cable) also reboots a Microsoft Duo running Android 10.

What is worse is that there is no "Start Android Auto" button on the bluetooth settings for the phone so I cannot even run it wirelessly. (I would always run AA with the phone on the Bolt.)

what are the two other cables? One looks to be an extension cable?

Yes one is an extension cable (50ft if I remember correctly) the other is a Clipper Creek 20amp Level-2 EVSE that I carry around (yeah there already is the Ford one but if I need a lower current EVSE for some reason I have it--I've had it for several years now).

Hmmm. interesting. So the mobile charger wouldn't be able to step down unless its going to 120V? Was looking at potentially getting a 50 to 30A adapter (i.e., what is used for RVs) as true emergency.... but that plan doesn't appear to be feasible.
