NACS adapter expected delivery date

I checked my Ford.com status for the NACS adapter and it still (Sep 26) says "September". I believe they have shipped to about 17xxx and I am at 28xxx. Given the closeness to the end of the month and current hurricane conditions I will no longer hold my breath. Why don't they at least feed the illusion and change the expected date to "October" or "November"?

I have 18XXX and clearly missed the batch. Fucking annoying

All production has dependent parts streams, although this is certainly an extreme case.

They know how many they got last week, and how many Tesla is promising them as a ramp curve.

That should create a guess better than "roll everyone on the last day of the month".

let's also not forget that tesla is also providing adapters to rivian owners as well.

I think ford needs to stop setting potential delivery dates and just put something like "to be determined" that way people don't have their expectations repeatedly dashed.

FWIW, mine still shows a status of “in production”, to be shipped by Sept 2024. I was slightly slow to order, late February.

Perhaps they are aiming for 9/31 (base 16) ;>

Kidding aside, I had no expectation when we purchased the MachE that it would ever be Tesla compatible, so I’m just happy it is “on its way” ;>

You've got that right! Fellow Canadian here. My order number is in the 10XXX range. I was getting tired of hearing about others who ordered after me and have already received their adapters. Ford said the quiet part out loud in their response to my email (italics mine):

"The US orders started to be fulfilled earlier as they were prioritized by Ford North America.

Our latest information is that we will receive our first shipment of Adapters here in Canada in late October, at which time we will commence fulfilment of orders for Canadian customers on a first come, first served basis."
