Yup.Mach-E looks pretty good in those tests. Interestingly, Tesla model Why is the only one that grossly overstates the range.
I'm sort of convinced when a Tesla owner says "My Tesla gets 326 miles on a charge" they are just reading the range off the screen, they haven't actually done the test to see it only goes 270 miles. So it's total BS.Que all the tesla fanboys to say "I get 300 miles...."
Or they only drive around town and never exceed 35. ??I'm sort of convinced when a Tesla owner says "My Tesla gets 326 miles on a charge" they are just reading the range off the screen, they haven't actually done the test to see it only goes 270 miles. So it's total BS.
After renting 3 different Teslas in the last 8 months and experiencing multiple superchargers I will echo your statement. The initial charge speed for the 3 and Y starts off high (180-200+) and then drops very quickly to below 100kw. Very disappointing. The overall curve was worse than our 4X because the 20-80% charge time was about 30-35 mins on all occasions. And that’s a 77kwh pack vs an 88-91kwh pack. Screw Tesla.I almost traded a MME for a MY because of the charging speed. Real world range were not a criteria because I had seen many reports showing MY and MME had about the same range. When I saw a MY charging at EA at about the same speed as my ER premium, I just scrubbed off the idea. MY might be a bit faster but not worth switching. I talked to a friend this weekend who is still in the market for an EV.
I told him MY is cheaper. He said he would pay more for the look of MME. ?
VW/ID.4 does the same. Charging is in miles per hour - which completely varies depending if you are driving in the city or highway.A Tesla friend keeps asking me how many miles per hour charge do I get on my charger. I start to talk kWh, actual distance driven on a full charge.
Then it’s My Tesla always does… miles because it says so on the screen.
